About This Competition

2020FITober Fest is a one-day doubles competition taking place on October 1st, 2022 starting at 9 am. If you want to do well then you'll need to be good at everything. The goal of this event is to find the Fittest team of 2. 

There will be 6 divisions, M/M RX, Intermediate, and Scaled, F/F RX, Intermediate, and Scaled. 

The price will be $225.00 + Tax and fees for each team (Roughly $115.00 per person). This covers the entry fee, T-Shirt, goodie bag, CASH prizes, and a great time. 

Workouts will be announced with video and standards periodically as the competition approaches. 

There are cash prizes for the Rx Podium and retail prizes for the Intermediate and Scaled Podiums. The Prize Purse will be announced 1 week before the competition. Last year's prizes were $600 for 1st, $400 for 2nd, and $200 for 3rd. We are looking to match or increase that this year depending on sign-ups ;)

2000 sqft Athlete Village 
2200 sqft Warm-up area
3000 sqft Competition floor 
4 Workouts with a 5th workout for the Top 5 in all divisions 
On-Site Physical Therapist
Schedule (Subject to Change): 

Packet Pickup / Check-in: Saturday 7-8 am
8 am Welcome, WOD Briefs, and National Anthem 
9 am Scaled Division Starts

FIToberfest is a family friendly event! Bring the whole crew and set up for a fun filled day of competition! We will have both indoor and outdoor space. *please bring your own chairs/tents etc. 

Parking lot party will be going on from 9am to 3pm. 

Local vendors, food trucks, yard games, recovery areas, etc!

For Time: 

45 Synchronized Thrusters*

*Every time someone drops the bar the team must complete 4 Synchronized Lateral Bar Over Burpees

Weights:

Intermediate: 95/65

Synchronized Thrusters count when both athletes reach full arm lockout over the crown of their head with hips and knees fully extended at the same time. 

For the Synchronized Lateral Bar Over Burpee, athletes must have their chests on the ground at the same time before jumping over the bar. Reps are counted when both athletes have jumped over the bar without touching the bar.

**You are allowed to rest the barbell in the Front Rack or Overhead Position. There is NO resting below the Front Rack.   

Time Cap: 4 Minutes

For Time:

FLOATER Workout - MUST Be Completed Between 7 am and 11 am

Max Vertical 

Each Athlete will have 3 attempts at a Max Height Vertical Jump.  

The score will be combined height in inches with the highest total being awarded the top spot. 

Event 2 - RX

Starting at 20:00 after Event 1 and EMOM until complete, teams will have :45 to complete the designated Deadlift Reps and :15 to Transition. ALL reps MUST be completed BEFORE the :45 mark.

Example - If the bar is picked up at the :42 mark but the athlete is not at full hip extension at the :45 mark then it is a NO REP. 

The tie break is the time it took to complete the last full set. 

Example 1 - If Team A completes Set 4 in :20 and Team B completes Set 4 in :23 then Team A wins.

Example 2 - If team A completes Set 3 in :30 but only completes 2 reps in Set 4 their score will be 26 Reps with a Tie break time of :30  

The Max score for this workout is 30 Reps.

RX:

Set 1: 315/215 - 10 Reps

Set 2: 365/255 - 8 Reps

Set 3: 405/285 - 6 Reps

Set 4: 455/315 - 4 Reps

Set 5: 505/345 - 2 Reps

Event 2 - Intermediate
