About This Competition

Welcome to BATTLE OF THE AGES a unique one day Individual Fitness competition that honours all ages.

We created this competition to instil confidence & self belief to challenge yourselves in the arena amongst people in the same age bracket and not be scared off by the 'young guns' or 'experienced veterans' of other Open Individual competitions. Our misson is to celebrate all seasons of life on the competition floor and prove age is just a number. 

Key details:  

REGO GOES LIVE at 7:00am Saturday 1st July. 

Both male & female divisions in each age bracket.

Your age on the day of competition will confirm your age bracket (valid photo ID will need to be shown on the day)

Movement standards will be released several weeks in advance so you know what to prepare for.

No RX or SC divisions, just your age bracket to make it a even playing field. 

Programming is carefully designed most similar to CFG Open level, where testing work capacity with fundamental movements is the main priority over the higher skilled advanced movements. Workouts will be fun, challenging and inclusive for all levels to have a crack and do your best. 

Competitors will be tested across 5 SCORED EVENTS on the day to ensure a fair and broad test of fitness.

Competing alongside one another in a 10 lane format just like the big stage events. 

Inside & outside arena's running simultaneously which allows for an action packed day, lots of variety in programming and quick turn arounds so you aren't waiting around too long between workouts to maximise your time on the comp floor.

Each workout is designed & tested by CrossFit Games Athlete Ben Garard and his team who pride themselves on leaving competitors with a memorable competition experience. We've also gone to the extra effort of testing each event and time caps with our everyday Benton Gym members to make sure it's achievable for all fitness levels involved on the day.

Live DJ adding to the electric atmosphere and  viewing areas for any family and friends who want to come cheer you on. 

We always aim for quality over quantity at our competitions, so there is a maximum of 10 people per age division. Once it's full, that's all we have space for - so get in quick & claim your spot to one of the best fitness comps on the local circuit. 

We're excited to see you BATTLE it out on Sunday 19th November 2022. Rego on the day is 7:15am with a 8:00am start for first heat. 

*If the event was cancelled due to COVID-19 lockdowns or sporting event cancellations, then all participants will be offered a post-poned registration for when the event can run. It will be a case by cases if you cannot attend the new date and require a refund. NOTE: Refunds will not be given for any other reason I.e injured, medical emergencies, can't come etc. ONLY if due to complete closure of the competition due to government guidelines. You are welcome to transfer your rego to replace yourself in the same division/age bracket up until close of registration Friday 10th November, 2023.
