About This Competition

Join CrossFit Stonington on October 1 for MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE, an individual masters competition!

There are 8 divisions total (4 age groups and male / female) to choose from: Age 35-39, Age 40-44, Age 45-49 and Age 50+.

The cost is $75 per person with early bird pricing of $65 available through August 15th.


T-shirts will be provided to those who register prior to September 3rd.

*Weights you may see in barbell movements similar to that of the CrossFit Open.

If you anticipate making it to the final 5 you could see the following:
Handstand Push Ups
Bar Muscle Ups
Rope Climbs
Toes To Bar

WOD #1

In 6 minutes
60/50 calorie row
Once you reach the required calorie amount the athlete must complete max lateral burpee over rower. Score is the number of burpee's completed.

WOD #2
10 Minutes
2-4-6-8-10-12-14.....
OHS 95/65 (50+ 75/55)
KBS 53/35 (all divisions)
Pull Ups (all divisions)

WOD #3
In 6 minutes find your max weight hang clean, touch and go power clean, touch and go squat clean and shoulder to over head. 
The athlete must demonstrate full extension prior to completing the hang clean (bar stays above your knee). The power clean must be touch and go. The athlete must show control in the front rack position prior to attempting the squat clean. The squat clean must be touch and go reaching full depth breaking the hip crease and then full extension with elbow in front of bar, for the S2OH you may use any lift including strict, press, jerk, split, squat jerk as long as you show full extension and that you are in control of the bar. 
If at any point you let go of the bar, the complex must start over from the beginning. We will let you know the plates that will be available to you prior to the competition date so you can prepare accordingly.
