Meet Adriel Bueno!

This sweet 2nd grader loves SpongeBob SquarePants, WWE Wrestling, Baseball, Basketball, and of course playing with his siblings and friends. His momma says, “he is my ROCK, never complaining, always positive, and a happy boy.”

Adriel was diagnosed on 10/25/21 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) but his symptoms started back in July of 2021. During travel baseball season he was more fatigued, his legs and then feet would hurt. This went on for some time…then October 12th he had a nosebleed that wouldn’t stop which led them to the ER. They were sent home, but his mom wanted more checking done and requested lab work the next day from their doctor. Results then led them to Lubbock and within 2 weeks a diagnosis and treatment began. Treatment is going well, and he is on track to finish treatment in July.

Blake's birthday is Feb 20th - and he is 7 years old. He has Nephroblastoma.

Meet 7-year-old Blake Register

Blake and his family live in Odessa, TX.  He is in first grade and a few of his favorite things he loves to do include playing on his Xbox (Fortnight & Call of Duty), playing with friends, riding his bike, and being outside.

Blake's journey with Nephroblastoma Cancer was discovered thanks to a fall when riding his scooter. The pain related to the fall led them to the ER. A CT scan showed he had a Wilms Tumor on his right kidney. The tumor was the size of a softball, pushing on his other organs, and had ruptured causing bleeding in his abdomen.

On 9/20 Doctors removed the tumor, his right kidney, and his appendix. After surgery Blake's treatment included radiation and chemotherapy and from his most recent update - he is now in remission.

His favorite days are when he gets to work the back and lats. Finally, Matthew is quite fond of his girlfriend of 4 years Andreanna.

Matthew’s diagnosis did not come easy… in fact it took 4 different doctors over the course of 2 weeks to determine what was going on. His symptoms ranged from swelling on his face and neck, spider veins, bloody nose, fatigue, and difficulty breathing. Treatment has included surgery and now chemo with good results so far.
