About This Competition

Looking to dip your toes in the water of competition in Miami?

No better way than through the Wodapalooza Gauntlet…

What?

Want to get a taste of what it’s like to compete on the big stage under the Miami sun? Now is your chance.

Introducing, the Gauntlet, WZA’s all-new exciting individual competition format! Debuting on Thursday of Wodapalooza Miami 2019, it features three individual WOD’s, where only the most fit, and most mentally tough will emerge victorious.

How does it work?

Athletes will battle through three thrilling workouts, all within a single hour. Starting with WOD 1, it will feature a true test of strength, followed by a true barbell challenge.

Once the time expires, you’ll have a chance to grab a quick breath, before advancing forward to WOD 2. WOD 2 is everybody’s favorite classic couplet or triplet (or not…,) which will lead you to one final quick break.

The final WOD, workout #3 will close out the hour-long grueling challenge and will surely leave you wondering what hit you.

But guess what? After the hour, you’ve made it. Mission accomplished. You’ve tackled the Gauntlet.

Why?

While there are many people on the fence about competing in a full-blown three days of competition, as well as people simply unable to secure a spot to compete over Friday through Sunday, Team WZA wanted to give as many people the opportunity to celebrate and test their fitness with us at WZA as possible.

We understand it’s tough to secure a spot, but with the Gauntlet, you’ll get a chance to throw your hat into the ring and get after it.

Who?

Whether your a local South Floridian, those volunteering over WZA weekend, or athletes coming into town to spectate, why not earn your weekend of rest? Calling on these folks to come enjoy an hour throw down. Whether it’s your first time competing, or you’re an experienced veteran looking to earn a spot on the podium, this is for YOU!

The WZA Gauntlet will feature a Scaled, Intermediate, & Rx Individual Division. No teams yet!

When?

It’s going down on Thursday, January 17th, 2018.

The day traditionally reserved for athlete & volunteer check-in has now become an exciting fourth day of competition, to extend the party known as WZA even more.

How to register?

Sign-up by clicking here. Once registered, please note the competition starts at 9AM, and you’ll be emailed your start-time on January 10th.

Registration costs $125 & includes a WZA athlete shirt.

When registering, please fill out when you’re available to compete on that day either morning (9AM to 11:59PM,) afternoon (12PM to 3PM,) or night (3PM to 6PM.)
