About This Competition
The Granite Games Throwdown gives athletes new to competition an opportunity to challenge themselves and have a blast doing it!
Our 3-person, same gender team setup allows you to step out onto the competition floor with your best lifting buddies to experience the best of both worlds: all the fun of competition, without that nerve-wracking feeling of going it alone!

Scaled: For those who are new to competing, share a common goal of functional fitness, and are working toward mastering their skills.
Intermediate: The perfect fit for athletes who love the thrill of competition and have a passion for functional fitness, but who don’t typically Rx daily workouts and may not have yet mastered all movements.

To set you up for success when you arrive onsite, here’s what you need to know:
Please head over to http://parkridgecrossfit.com to complete a waiver.
Check- In - All athletes must check in at Park Ridge between 7am-8am. There will be a check in table in the lobby of the building. Athlete briefing will begin right at 8am.
Parking – There's parking available in all 3 lots in front of building.
Come Prepared – You’ll need to provide a valid ID to complete check-in. You'll also want to bring anything you may need for competition.
No Take-Backs – Life happens—we totally get that. But please be aware that if you cannot participate in the weekend’s events, we cannot offer a refund for any reason.
Trading Places – You can substitute an athlete up until the event day!

Deadlift + Hang Clean + Front Squat + Shoulder to Overhead
Score is total weight of all 3 athletes combined.
*minimum weight change is 5lb. Clips must be used.
12 minute AMRAP

- 6 Dumbbell Front Squats (35/20)
- 12-12,15-15, etc.
Intermediate
- 6 Chest to Bar
- 6 Dumbbell Front Squats (50/35)
- 12-12,15-15, etc.
All athletes complete full round of 6s before moving on to the 9s. This trend continues throughout the 12 minutes

2 of 3 athletes working. 1 in resting area at all times. For box jump overs, both athletes must use the same box. Rep is sycnhronized when both athletes reach other side. Scaled can step over.

- 15 Thrusters (75/55)
Intermediate
3 Rounds Each
- 300/250 Meter Row
- 15 Thrusters (95/65)
This is done in a waterfall style format. At the start, one athlete will row. When they finish, they move on to the thrusters and athlete 2 starts their row. This fashion continues until each athlete has completed 3 rounds. Only the thruster reps count.
