About This Competition

The first EVER CrossFit Licensed Event is coming to Perth!!!
And it’s coming back in the form of the Original OG Teams event WA Affiliate Cup.

On the weekend of 14-15th October all Licensed WA Affiliates will have the chance to come together and battle us out for the Fittest Affiliate in Perth!

Key details:

  • Teams of 4 (MM/FF)
  • You MUST be from a registered CrossFit Affiliate gym.
  • ALL members of the team MUST be members or coaches of that Affiliate (no super teams).
  • We understand some people may train or coach at multiple gyms… pick one.
  • Each Affiliate will be able to enter a limit of 6 teams total spread across ALL divisions.
  • The team name MUST represent the affiliate they are from (no stupid names) ie:
    -Injustice Gold Injustice Crossfit
    -Two guys, Two Girls, One Cup

 

Refund Policy for W.A Affiliate Cup (WAAC) Ticket Sales (Non-Refundable):

We appreciate your interest in the WAAC and. Please be advised that all ticket sales are non-refundable. Once a ticket is purchased, it cannot be refunded for any reason, including but not limited to the following:

Change of Plans:
Whether due to a scheduling conflict, personal circumstances, or any other reason, we are unable to accommodate requests for refunds or ticket exchanges.

Event Postponement:
In the unlikely event that the WAAC is postponed, we will not be able to offer refunds. However, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate any changes to the event and provide relevant updates through our official channels.

Ticket Transfer:
If you are unable to attend the event, you may transfer your ticket to another individual. However, it is your responsibility to arrange the transfer and notify us of the change in ticket holder information.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, but due to the nature of event planning and logistical considerations, we cannot offer refunds. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Please make sure to carefully review your ticket selection and the event details before completing your purchase. We recommend contacting our customer support team if you have any questions or concerns prior to finalising your transaction.

Our policy on substitutes:

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise and that team members may not be able to compete. Due to the nature of event planning and logistical considerations, we can accommodate substitutions until the 30th of September 2023.

Workouts

The third event of the 2023 WA Affiliate Cup for all divisions is:
Acid Burp. Time cap: 10 mins. all divisions
80 burpee shuttle runs - 11m run, with synchronised burpee at end of each lap.
There will be three athletes working at a time, and at any time during the event, the resting athlete can tag in and out as desired with any other member of the team.

The first event of the 2023 WA Affiliate Cup for Rx Athletes is:
Cherry Picker Power Chipper. Time 10 mins
This ten minute event contains four movements, each increasing by one rep each round in a ladder. Each athlete chooses one movement to do, and they complete that same movement each round. This event favours the specialists.
RX:
Muscle-up (ring)
Power clean and jerk 90/60
HS walk (2, 4, 6m...)
Snatch (full) 70/50
INT:
Chest to ring pull-up
Power clean and jerk 75/50
HSPU
Snatch (full) 55/35
BEG:
Ring pull-up
Power clean and jerk 60/40
Bear Crawl (2, 4, 6m...)
Snatch (power) 45/25

The fifth event of the 2023 WA Affiliate Cup for all divisions is:
Cluster F**ked. Time: 6 mins. all divisions
In male/female pairs, each pair has three x one minute windows to find a synchro 3RM touch and go squat clean thruster. Score is the combined best synchro result total from each pair.
Pair one will have three one minute windows beginning at zero, two and four minutes, and pair two will have three one minute windows beginning at one, three and five minutes.

The fourth event of the 2023 WA Affiliate Cup for Rx Athletes is:
Death Relay. Time cap: 6 mins.
For time:
M1: 45 cal air bike.
M2: 45 cal air bike.
F1: 25 cal air bike.
F2: 25 cal air bike.
The calorie count on the bike will be running continually - with the screen not reset after each athlete. As such, the transitions will happen at 45, 90 and 115 calories, with the work completed at 140 calories.

INT & BEG:
For time:
M1: 40 cal air bike.
M2: 40 cal air bike.
F1: 20 cal air bike.
F2: 20 cal air bike.
The calorie count on the bike will be running continually - with the screen not reset after each athlete. As such, the transitions will happen at 40, 80 and 100 calories, with the work completed at 120 calories.

The final event of the 2023 WA Affiliate Cup for Rx Athletes is:
Kitchen Synch. Time: 15 mins
Athletes complete eight rounds of four stations, with a 15 minute time cap. Stations one and two are five synchronised chest to bar pull-ups, and stations three and four are five synchronised dumbbell thrusters at 22.5 and 15kg. Male athletes will begin on stations one and three, female athletes on two and four. Once the first five synchro reps have been completed, each athlete will move to the next station. Once each athlete has completed each station, one round is complete. The event score is total time for eight complete rounds. For simplicity of understanding, each athlete will complete the equivalent of eight rounds of 10 CTB pull-ups, 10 dumbbell thrusters.
Four stations, progress to next station once all team members have finished their work.

Station 1: 5 CTB Pull-ups synchronised at the top with the other CTB.
Station 2: 5 CTB Pull-ups synchronised at the top with the other CTB.
Station 3: 5 Dumbbell Thrusters (22.5/15) synchronised at the top with the other thrusters.
Station 4: 5 Dumbbell Thrusters (22.5/15) synchronised at the top with the other thrusters.

INT:
Station 1: 5 Pull-ups synchronised at the top with the other Pull-ups.
Station 2: 5 Pull-ups synchronised at the top with the other Pull-ups.
Station 3: 5 Dumbbell Thrusters (15/10) synchronised at the top with the other thrusters.
Station 4: 5 Dumbbell Thrusters (15/10) synchronised at the top with the other thrusters.

BEG:
Station 1: 5 Hanging Knee Raises synchronised at the top with the other HKR.
Station 2: 5 Hanging Knee Raises synchronised at the top with the other HKR.
Station 3: 5 Single Dumbbell Goblet Thrusters (22.5/15) synchronised at the top with the other thrusters.
Station 4: 5 Single Dumbbell Goblet Thrusters (22.5/15) synchronised at the top with the other thrusters.

The second event of the 2023 WA Affiliate Cup for Rx Athletes is:
The Flipped Farmer. Time: 14 mins.
Two scored events, male cumulative reps and female cumulative reps.
On go:
Males do max laps (10m) farmer's carry in 6 minutes. Each lap is worth 2 points, 1 point for every 5m. Can be done in any order with no minimum work requirement. Start with 120kg and increase by 10kg each handle (20kg total) every four laps. 120, 140, 160, 180, 200, 220, 240, 260 (max laps).
Females do max kipping HSPU in 6 mins, every 10 reps, the deficit increases by one 10kg plate up to a maximum of five plates. Can be done in any order with no minimum work requirement.
At 6 mins, 2 min transition.
Males do max strict HSPU in 6 mins, every 10 reps, the deficit increases by one 10kg plate up to a maximum of five plates. Can be done in any order with no minimum work requirement.
Females do max laps (10m) farmer's carry in 6 minutes. Each lap is worth 2 points, 1 point for every 5m. Can be done in any order with no minimum work requirement. Start with 40kg and increase by 10kg each handle (20kg total) every four laps. 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160, 180 (max laps).
