About This Competition
Outland Games 2025
Come out and enjoy our 6th Mixed Partner CrossFit competition at the Sunflower Festival in our hometown Altona, Manitoba!
Being the only complete outdoor competition, athletes can expect workouts that will include many of the well known CrossFit movements, but will also include a few movements to challenge that strength. We will NOT be testing high level gymnastic movements or heavy snatch. However, athletes should bring all of their usual gear, including a swimsuit!
Mixed teams will test their fitness across broad time and modal domains with each team guaranteed 4 events (and a final). All WODs are partner workouts where athletes can divide up the work any way they want.

9-minute AMRAP
*Tie breaker time is the time complete sit-ups

At 3 2 1 go, you and your partner will complete 100 situps, broken up anyway you would like.
Once the 100 sit-up buy-in is completed, the swimmer will swim(sprint) one length. Once they touch the wall, the rower will row (sprint) 200meters.
That is 1 round, get as many rounds as possible in the remaining time you have left in the 9-minute AMRAP.
Partial rounds of one length of swim will be awarded.

Notes:
At 321 go you and your partner will work through the required reps per movement.
Split up the reps as you would like.
Partners will have to load their own bar as the weights change.
Synco is both skipping at the same time, one trips, the other must stop and then start again.
Partner A & partner B will have to complete all the reps for each movement. Can not switch roles.
You will each have one 4x6 mat to skip on.

Start at rock->
–Run to path behind hill–
40 box jumps or step-ups
–Once completed, run around and to the top of hill–
80 KB swings
Once completed run down and around to bridge
120 single-arm C&J
–run to rock finish line–

At 321 go you and your partner will run to the boxes waiting for you on the path. Work cannot start till both athletes are there.
Once both arrive, you will proceed to do 40 box jumps, split up as you would like
Box height 24/20 with option for stepping for scaled division
Once completed, you will run around and up the hill to complete 80 russian KB swings split up any way, hips fully extended at the top and swing needs to be past eye level.
Once done, you will run down the hill, over the bridge to get to the last station where you and your partner will do 120 single-arm hang c&J. They don't need to be alternating and split up any way you want.
Once completed, you will sprint to the finish line, which is where you started.
