About This Competition



Partnered CrossFit competition geared towards beginners/intermediate (no one who has qualified for Regionals or beyond). WODS will be done in costumes. Event 1 will be the costume contest, so dress to impress!


Spooktacular timeline 

*Timeline is subject to change, each heat will take place one after another when judges and athletes are set

Athlete check in time: 7:15- 7:50 AM

15 min amrap:
300 m row while your partner amraps:
7 deadlifts 115/75
5 hang power cleans 115/75
3 shoulder to overhead 115/75
Switch once the 300 m is complete. Start where your partner left off.

Row: Damper may be changed at any point during the WOD. Athletes are responsible for resetting the screen after every 300.

Deadlifts: Start from the ground every time, complete at full hip extension with shoulders behind the bar, no bouncing bars. You are able to start your hang power cleans after the 7th deadlift.

Hang power cleans: must come to full hip extension, then start reps from above the knees. Finish each rep at front rack position with hips and knees at full extension. You are able to start shoulder to overhead after the 5th rep is complete.

Shoulder to overhead: Starting from front rack, bar must be pressed up in anyway (strict, push press, split/push jerk), finish with full knee, hip, and arm extension with head through the window

1 rep max bench press! Each team will get 8 minutes to complete a one rep max. Partners will be sharing a bar and may not go down in weight once the clips are set and rep has been completed. Rep must start with arms at full extension, going down until bar makes contact with your chest, and is completed with arms fully extended. Shoulders and butt must remain on the bench.

Synchronized, 5 RFT, 15 min. cap:
10 thrusters 75/55
8 burpees
12 front rack lunges (6 each leg) 75/55

Thrusters: bar must be cleaned from the ground to front rack position, squats must be below parallel, reps finish with full knee, hip and arm extension with head through the window. You do not need to go back down to the ground before every rep. Partners must finish at the top together. Squat cleans are ok.

Burpees: Start with full hip and knee extension then full body weight to the ground with chest touching the ground. End with hip and knees extended with both partners high fiving each other. No jump necessary.

Front rack lunges: bar must be cleaned from the ground to front rack position. Athletes then start lunging with knees touching the ground and coming to full extension before starting the next rep. After the 12th rep, it is ok to start the next round of thrusters without dropping the bar.
