Workouts
Step into the arena! The KBQ-Triathlon awaits, where power, finesse, and endurance take center stage. Here's a guide to the fundamental mechanics:
Disciplines:
Clean
Press
1-Arm Russian Swing
Key Principles:
Duration: Each discipline unfolds over an exhilarating 6-minute span.
Hand Changes: Multiple hand changes are encouraged to keep the energy flowing.
Rest Period: A well-deserved 5-minute break follows each discipline.
Maximum Repetition (Rep) Counts: Push yourself to achieve, but remember that surpassing the maximum rep counts won't earn extra points.
Cleans: 120 reps
Press: 120 reps
1-Arm Russian Swing: 120 reps
Kettlebell Selection:
Embrace your strength and choose up to 3 different weights for your kettlebells. However, once a discipline begins, the chosen weight remains constant. No weight changes are allowed mid-discipline. If the kettlebell is set down before the clock runs out, the set concludes, but all reps up to that moment count.
Special Note:
For an added challenge, if you reach the maximum rep count before the 6 minutes are up, you can set the kettlebell down, earning some extra rest time.
These rules are crafted to empower the Kettlebell Queens in their pursuit of excellence. Best of luck, and may your triathlon be a royal display of strength and grace! 👑🏋️♀️
Kettlebell Pentathlon
where strength, endurance, and precision converge in a set order of 5 disciplines. Here's a breakdown of the basic mechanics:
Disciplines:
Clean
Long Cycle Press (Clean and Press)
Jerk
Half Snatch
Strict Push Press
Key Principles:
Duration: Each discipline lasts for a challenging 6 minutes.
Hand Changes: Multiple hand changes are allowed within the time frame.
Rest Period: A generous 5-minute break follows each discipline.
Maximum Repetition (Rep) Counts: There's a maximum rep count for each discipline. Exceeding these limits won't earn additional points but won't incur penalties either.
Cleans: 120 reps
Long Cycle Press: 60 reps
Jerks: 120 reps
Half Snatch: 108 reps
Strict Push Press: 120 reps
Kettlebell Selection:
Competitors have the flexibility to choose up to 5 different weights for their kettlebells. Once a discipline begins, no changes in weight are allowed. The chosen weight must be maintained throughout the 6-minute duration. If a kettlebell is set down before the time elapses, the set ends, but all reps up to that point are counted.
Special Note:
If a competitor reaches the maximum rep count before the 6 minutes are up, they can set the kettlebell down, earning additional rest time.
These rules are designed to challenge competitors while ensuring fair play and maintaining the integrity of the competition. Good luck, and may your kettlebell journey be as rewarding as it is rigorous! 💪🏋️ #KettlebellPentathlon #StrengthChallenge #EnduranceTraining
