About This Competition

WE ARE EXCITED TO BE HOSTING OUR Fourth ANNUAL
IRON ANCHOR THROWDOWN!
The IRON ANCHOR THROWDOWN is a fitness competition for the novice and veteran athlete. The RX team and team scaled division will consist of 4 workouts throughout the day. These events will be a test of strength, endurance, speed and skill. What can you expect? Friendly competition, killer workouts and whole lot of fun and motivation.
Registration for the event goes live on October 7, 2022 with limited spots available for the competition. The previous year we had over 120 competitors and over 200 spectators. This will be an event to remember, and we can guarantee you don't want to miss it.
The workouts for this event will be released as followed:
First event released May 26,2023
Second event released June 20, 2023
Third event released July 20, 2023
Fourth event released August 12, 2023
There will be a FINAL for all RX divisions but that will be announced the day of the competition and will only be available for the top 3 leaders from each RX division.

-Bike calories are YGIG, but both partners have to get on the bike.

Rules:
Thrusters have to be locked out at the top from both partners to count reps.
Burpee Box Jump Overs with alternate with partners. Partners may choose different sides of the box to burpee but Partner B can not start burpee until Partner A has both sides on the ground from their BBJO
Sandbags may NOT be transferred from Partner A to Partner B in the back squats
All sandbag squats must be on back or shoulder of athlete and all squats be full depth (hips past knees).
All partners have to do at least 1 sandbag squat

Round 1: 30 Dball over Shoulder (70/50)
Round 2: 20 Dball over Shoulder
Rounds 3: 10 Dball over Shoulder
Rules:
Thrusters have to be locked out at the top from both partners to count reps.
20 TOTAL TEAM BURPEES. You go, I go style. Each partner has to do at least 1 burpee.
Butterflys must touch floor at same time and have shoulders past hips at same time for synchro movement.
Dballs may be split however but 1 partner must do at least 1 rep.

RULES:
Both partners have minimum work requirement of 5 cal/rep on row and snatches
Partner A can not start snatches until partner B is in a hold
When barbell is dropped during hold, the snatches have to stop
Pulls must go past line on the floor, partner may help turn sled behind the line
All sled pulls are seated. DO NOT PULL unless in seated position. May drive legs into ground. Does not have to be hand over hand.
Workout will be complete once last sled pull clears line

SCORE= Rounds + Ski Calories
RULES:
Plate must touch ground to count as g2oh, must be full locked out with knees, hips, elbows on overhead.
Burpees may be step ups or jump ups but both feet must be on plate at same time
Chest and thighs must touch THE GROUND on burpees and not the plate
Partners may switch at ANY time, partners can pick up in the middle of a round and finish

Directly after workout partner A will work up to heaviest front squat and partner B will work up to heaviest back squat. Only 1 bar will be available to use. Both lifts may go from the rack.
Score- Partners A- Front squat weight and Partner B- Back squat weight
Workout for both A and B is 20 minutes. You have the remainder time that is left to find maxes after completing part A.
