About This Competition
RX SAME SEX PAIRS
SUNDAY 1st OCTOBER 2023
(Direct entry- NO qualifiers.)
1 Day competition.
Each team will receive a team name board, to remember the day!
Each team will be guaranteed 4 challenging workouts testing a variety of skill sets and strategies as a team to overcome.
Battle it out with your partner to earn them podium spots, and the £1000 cash prize pot.
RX Movement standards.
This is a category for athletes who usually complete the CrossFit Open as RX
- Barbell movements / db movements:
- Snatch / Clean Jerk/ Squat for reps (30-42.5kg F) (42.5-60kg M)
- Deadlift for reps (70kg/100kg)
- All db movements for reps (15kgs/ 22.5kgs)
- Able to use a 6/9kg wallball
Gymnastic movements
- all team members be able to perform double unders, toes to bar, pull ups and chest to bars
- Teams to be confident working in synchro for a variety of different movements/ exercises.
- At least one team member to be able to perform a bar or ring muscle up.
- At least one team member to have handstand walks.
- One team member to have strict handstand push ups to a flat surface (open standard)
- All team members to have wall walks to open standard.
- If you are someone that struggles to link sets of toes to bar, pull ups or double unders we encourage you to enter the scaled category.
- If you or your partner have had experience at bigger middle ground or intermediate level competitions then we encourage you to try our RX competition.

0-3 Mins- Athlete A
1 Rep max Clean + Jerk
3-6 Mins- Athlete B
1 Rep Max Snatch
Score= Total weight combined of each athletes heaviest successful lift.
0-3 Mins- Athlete A
1 Rep max Clean + Jerk
3-6 Mins- Athlete B
1 Rep Max Snatch
Score= Total weight combined of each athletes heaviest successful lift.
Immediately after WOD 1A:
(Teams must set their own barbell weight.)
6-7 mins: REST
7-8 mins: Athlete A Max snatches (60/40KG)
8-9 mins: REST
9-10 mins: Athlete B Max clean + jerks (60/40KG)
Score= Max reps combined from Athlete A+B.
(Tiebreak if teams get the same amount of reps will then go off who had the bigger weight total in part A.)
Immediately after WOD 1A:
(Teams must set their own barbell weight.)
6-7 mins: REST
7-8 mins: Athlete A Max snatches (60/40KG)
8-9 mins: REST
9-10 mins: Athlete B Max clean + jerks (60/40KG)
Score= Max reps combined from Athlete A+B.

3 rounds for time:
30 calorie row
20 thrusters (M-40/50/60kg) (F-30/35/40kg)
10 wall walks
Score= Total time to complete all the work. Any reps not completed will be added as 1 second per rep.
For time-
21 synchro DB hang snatches (1 x22.5/15kg Each)
42 DB lunges (farmers position) (2x 22.5/15kg)
42 toes to bar
15 synchro DB hang snatches
30 DB lunges (front rack position)
30 chest to bar
9 synchro DB hang snatches
18 DB lunges (overhead position)(Tiebreak time)
18 bar muscle ups
Score= Total time to complete all the work. Any reps not completed will be added as 1 second per rep.
For time-
Athlete A-
2 rounds:
15/12 calorie bike
15 burpees over bar
(Tie break time)
Athlete B-
2 rounds:
15/12 calorie bike
15 burpees over bar
Then both athletes:
40/32 calorie bike
20 synchro burpees over bar
Score= total time to complete all the work. Any reps not completed will be added as 1 second per rep.
