Masters League Open 2019/2020 Transition Season
About This Competition
2019 MASTERS LEAGUE OPEN COMPETITION Dates:
8th November – ML19.1 (Release 12PM AEST – Submit Scores 14th November 10PM AEST)
15th November– ML19.2 (Release 12PM AEST – Submit Scores 21st November 10PM AEST)
22nd November – ML19.3 (Release 12PM AEST – Submit Scores 28th November 10PM AEST)
29th November – ML19.4 (Release 12PM AEST – Submit Scores 5th December 10PM AEST)
Registration Will Be Open Until the 13th November 2019 5PM AEST
Master League Athletes are now in age Categories, starting from: 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70+
AGE ELIGIBILITY: If you are 34 turning 35 before May 31st 2020 you are eligible for the 35-39 Age Category. This concept is also for those deciding what age category to choose. Eg. If you are 44 turning 45 before May 31st 2020, the Age Category you would select will be 45-49
DIVISIONS: When you register you are required to enter as a Soldier (Beginner), Warrior (Intermediate) or Hero (Advanced) depending on your ability. See divisions page.
Four open workouts will be released, you will be given 1 week to complete each of these workouts (so 4 weeks in total) at your own affiliate, Gym or Training Facility, movement standards will be provided and you will need your workout judged and verified by a Coach, Certified judge.
You can perform each workout as many times as you like during the allocated 1 week and when you submit your verified score you will be able to track yourself on the leader board alongside all of the other athletes in your division and across your country and also nationally.
Leaderboard: Each individual athlete will be able to track their ranking on our live Masters League Open leaderboard which can also be found on our website - www.mastersleague.com.au
Towards the end of the Masters League season the top male and female athletes in each division will be invited to attend their State/Regional final, Masters League Games!
THE ROAD TO THE MASTERS LEAGUE GAMES
The season is broken up into Three Stages:
Stage One - Masters League Open
This is a four-week, four-workout competition that is held in affiliates, local and garage gyms around the world. Workouts are released online each Friday, and athletes have until the following Friday to submit their scores. Anyone who’s 35 years old can Register, and join in the first stage of the Masters League season.
NOTE: ATHLETES WHOSE SCORES LOOK QUESTIONABLE WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A VIDEO & IT WILL BE VERIFIED BY ONE OF THE MASTERS LEAGUE JUDGES
Stage Two - Masters League Invitational
Up to 5 top athletes from each Division & Age Category from the Masters League Open will qualify for this competition. The invitational is a one day event that is held in February.
NOTE: Attendance and participation at the invitational is expected of all athletes who make it through. If the athlete does not wish to attend, their spot will be given to the next athlete in line.
In some circumstances (family emergencies, pre-booked travel arrangements) Masters League may choose to allow the athlete to send in a video submission after the legitimacy of the circumstances has been confirmed. This will be considered on a case by case basis.
Stage Three - MASTERS LEAGUE GAMES
The top 2 athletes from each age group & division from the Invitational event will qualify to represent their Country/State/Region at the Masters League Games.
Top two qualifying Athletes from Countries outside of Australia/New Zealand from the Masters League Open will get an automatic invite to the Masters League Games!
