About This Competition

Welcome to VETWOD - Lift Off 2020!


We are so excited to bring you The VETWOD Lift-Off 2020 (Coronavirus edition).

This is a collaboration with CrossFit Excess.

This one is for those of you that still have access to a barbell and love to lift.

The competition will consist of 2 workouts that will have a Part A and Part B.

Week 1, May 14th through May 24th at 11:59PM EST.

Week 2, May 25th through May 31st at 11:59PM EST.

One workout per week, 2 scores per week.

Total of 4 scores, with 1 tie breaker included (we will calculate this at the end if there are overall ties)


This event will also be a $1 buy-in, with donations suggested but not necessary. Again, our goal is to motivate and engage in the community.


Workout 1 - May 18-24 - Running Clock

0:00 to 5:00 - Part A - 3 Rep max Clean & Jerk (Touch and go, can be power or full)

Rest 5:00-7:00

7:00 until done - Part B - Grace for time.

Power, full, split- any variation.

Workout 2 - May 25-31 - runNing clock

0:00 to 5:00 - Part A - 3 Rep max Snatch (Touch and go, can be power or full)

Rest 5:00-7:00

7:00 until done - Part B - Isabel for time.

Power, full, split- any variation.


*Tie-breaker: #1 - Combined time for Grace + Isabel. #2 - Combined weight for both 3RM. #3 - If there is still a tie, then you have earned that tie and prizes will be split ;)

Prizes:

Top 3 in every division and giveaways as usual - but only for those that complete the workouts, log and post on IG. We want to see you crushing it!

How to:

Record your lifts on pre-set timers that we will have set up with our friends at WeTime App. Upload your video to whatever platform you prefer (Google Drive, Dropbox, Vimeo, YouTube....) and provide us the link when you log your scores. Not submitting video immediately disqualifies you from the possibility of podium or prizes. ***We will not request the video, so please send it, or don't and accept the ramifications. Your choice.
