Solent Series 2025
About This Competition
Solent Series is back again for 2025!
Another EPIC weekend packed full of classic sweat, blood and tears CrossFit!
Saturday 21 June is our legendary same sex team of two competition. Accessible to all abilities, all teams will complete 4 workouts. Workouts and full movement standards will be released in the weeks prior to the event.
Headline sponsor Reyllen will be supporting prizes for all podium finishers.
We are excited to announce that the very talented @gwhampshire will be on site to take those all important photos!
Movement standards:
As an all-inclusive competition there is no RX or scaled divisions but like The CrossFit Open, RX scores will place higher than scaled scores. All movements, including gymnastics, will have a scaling option if required and/or reps adjusted. Expect to see standard CrossFit Open movements with the associated RX/scaled weights. The following is a guide to what may be included:
*All dumbbell movements - 15/22.5 (10/15kg if scaling)
*Barbell Squat, Snatch, Clean, STOH
*Thruster 30/40kg
*Overhead Squat 25/35
*Worm - all movements
*Sandbags - all movements
*TTB, Pull Ups, Wall Walks
*Rowing, Bike Erg, Running

Ticket sales are final, no refunds will be given. Athlete substitutions can be made up until the day before. Team names must be finalised 1 month prior.

Workouts
Workout 1 will have two scored events - Score A and Score B
25 minute AMRAP
Score A:
Both athletes simultaneously working towards max calories on:
1 Rower
1 Bike erg
Score B:
Every 5 mins (including 0:00), athletes complete as many reps as possible in 1 minute of:
Minute 00:00 - 01:00 - Synchro DB Shoulder to Overhead
Minute 05:00 - 06:00 - Synchro DB Cleans
Minute 10:00 - 11:00 - Synchro DB Front Rack Lunges
Minute 15:00 - 16:00 - Synchro DB Snatches
Minute 20:00 - 21:00 - Synchro DB Front Squats
Each team will have 3 dumbbells:
3 x 22.5kg for male
3 x 15kg for female
One athlete will perform double dumbbell movements, whilst one performs single DB. Athletes can change who has which DBs at any time. All three DBs must be in use at all times.
Athletes can change machines at any point.
Score A: Max calories of rower and bike combined at 25:00
Score B: Total number of repetitions of all DB movements combined
Workout 1 will have two scored events - Score A and Score B

15 Synchro Toes-to-Bar

15 Wall Walks (split)
9 Synchro Burpee Box Jump Overs (24/20 inch box)
15 Synchro Chest to Bar Pull Ups
6 Synchro Burpee Box Jump Overs (24/20 inch box)
15 Bar Muscle Ups (split)
3 Synchro Burpee Box Jump Overs (24/20 inch box)
100 Double Unders (split into alternating sets of 25)
Max distance Handstand Walk in remaining time
Score: Total number of reps completed in 12 mins
A tiebreak time taken after each set of movements will be used in the event of more than one team having the same number of reps.
Athletes will have 6 minutes each to build to a heavy complex of either:
1 Snatch Deadlift + 1 Snatch + 1 Hang Snatch + 1 Overhead Squat
Or
1 Clean Deadlift + 1 Clean + 1 Hang Clean + 1 Shoulder to Overhead
Score will be the combined weight of both athletes heaviest successful complex
Each partner must complete a different complex.

Female Pairs
24 calorie Echo bike (A) + 24 calorie ski erg (B)
30 alternating sandbag over bar (35kg)
24 calorie Echo bike (B) + 24 cal ski erg (A)
Shuttle sprint to bar and back finish line
Male Pairs
30 calorie Echo bike (A) + 30 calorie ski erg (B)
30 alternating sandbag over bar (50kg)
30 calorie Echo bike (B) + 30 calorie ski erg (A)
Shuttle sprint to bar and back to finish line
6 minute Time Cap
The bar will be set at a height of 52" for men and 48" for women.
