EVENT 4: CAR PRESS

Time Limit: 60 seconds for max reps.

Rules:

#       Competitors start with hands on the bar at the side of the car. On the Go call the competitors will press the car at full lockout position. A down call will be given only when both competitors are fully locked out and the front and back tyres of the car facing the competitors are off the ground. Loaders will be on either end of the car to confirm the tyres are off the ground. PLEASE WAIT FOR THE DOWN CALL.

# If there are height variances, we will have something to stand on to ensure heights are approx. the same.

#       A push press or strict press is advisable. You can press the car in a split stance position if you prefer.

#       The score will be determined by the max amount of reps within the 60 seconds.

Once the female competitor returns and drops the sandbags, the male competitor can put the handles down. The female then picks up her farmers handles and once set the male can then carry his sandbags the distance.

#       Multiple Drops are allowed. If the farmers handle competitor, drops the handles the moving competitor must stop until they are picked up and vice versa with the sandbags

#       Sliding of equipment is not allowed.

#       Knee sleeves, belts, wrist wraps, chalk are allowed. Straps are not allowed.

#       Scoring will be based on quickest team finishing or if they do not finish then it’s from where they finished at the end of the time allocation.

All will be revealed on the day.

Time Limit: 75 seconds

Distance: to be advised on the day (approx. 15 metres up and back)

Once given the clear signal BOTH competitors run down to the potato pile and grab as many bags of potatoes as they can and run back and load them into the wheelbarrow – once the pile has been fully loaded with the potatoes push the wheelbarrow the distance required.

#       Both competitors and wheelbarrow should be over the finish line and the timer is stopped.

#       The team with the quickest time wins. If a team does not finish the event before the time, then a distance measurement will be recorded.
