MONSTER MASH 2023
Monster Mash is an exciting fitness event for Kids and Teens , as well as an exciting Fun day out for the whole family
Get involved with our Halloween theme by dressing up. There will be facepainting and halloween treats all day long.
DATE: Sunday 29 October 2023
TIME: 9am to 12pm
LOCATION: CrossFit Play, 55 Denison St Camperdown
Divisions
Open Pairs ;
1 adult & 1 child 7 - 12yrs
2 Teens 13 - 15 yrs
$120 per team
Open Individual Teens 12-15yrs $60 - by invitation
Prizes - Medals for all
Individual teen podium winner will receive a complimentary ticket to the JUNIORS youth training camp hosted at CF Play later this year
Qualifiers will have some cool prizes also, so stay tuned.
So how will the event run ?
We have a 2-part competition planned; movement lists will be provided below to allow you to assess if your kids are ready to jump in.
Open Pairs Divisions A - C are a Pair teams of 1 Adult and 1 Child
A - Child under 8
B - Child under 10
C - Child under 12
These teams can be any combination of male and female in both youth and adult, all combinations are on the same leaderboard. The adult partner must be over 17yrs, should be a competent supervisor for the child’s workout experience however does not need to be a parent. Reps will be divided as written, the adult cannot take additional load for the child in the workouts.
Teams will complete 3 workouts on the day, there are no finals or cut offs.
This is a FUN and inclusive competition with scaling options for all workouts.
Movement lists and approximate rep ranges will be provided in the table attached.
OPEN Divisions 1 - 3 are for Individual Teens
M1 - 13yrs/under male
F1 - 13yrs/under female
M2 - 14yrs/under male
F2- 14yrs/under female
M3 - 15yrs/under male
F3 - 15yrs/under female
These divisions will have a qualifier series on Oct 6 – 12. [ week 1 term 4]

The video instructions and workouts will be sent out on oct 6th
Qualifier results must be submitted by Oct 12 at 5pm for leaderboard to be completed .
After 4 short progressing workouts the top 8 in each will be invited to progress to the live onsite competition. [ Sun 29 Oct ]
This will ensure the programming for the event will be safe, exciting and fair for our teen divisions.
There is scaling in the qualifiers, however we recommend trying to do the event RX to allow us to assess the capacity of the kids who qualify and program the event appropriately.
