About This Competition
We are proud to announce the first annual "Ark Valley Showdown", a competition specifically and exclusively for CrossFit athletes from Salida, BV and Leadville.
On May 11th, CrossFit Salida will host the event consisting of 4 WODs for teams of 3 (FFF/MMM) in 2 divsions: Rx and Scaled.

One athlete starts seated on the rower. When the clock starts, the athlete will grab the handle and begin the 1000m row. Athletes may switch as little or as often as they’d like.
Wall balls: Athletes must squat below parallel (knees below hips) at the bottom and fully extend arms, knees and hips at the top.
Power snatches: It’s a good rep when arms are fully extended overhead with hips and knees are at full extension.
Handstand push-ups/Hand release push-ups: These may be strict or kipping. It’s a good rep when arms are fully extended. Hand release push-ups: Each rep must start with chest & thighs touching the ground and are good at full arm extension. HRPU may not be performed on knees.
Score is time to complete or reps at 15:00. Time at the end of Round 1 will be used as a tie-break.
2 athletes hold a Deadlift (Rx 335/245) (Scaled 245/185) while 1 athlete accumulates calories on the assault bike.
Athletes may switch when needed. Athlete cannot start peddling the bike until the DL is held in position (hips & knees extended).
1 clean + 1 front squat
6:00 for all 3 athletes, max rep
Each partner will perform 1 clean (squat or power) and 1 front squat. Non-working partners may assist working partner with weight changes. Clean must be fully executed before the front squat is started = full extension of the hips and knees, elbows in front of the bar. Front squat must be to full depth = hips below knees, and stood to full hip and knee extension before athlete drops the bar.
Score will be the sum of each individual 1 RM.
