MOVEMBER THROWDOWN

Calling all Mo-Bro's and Mo-Sister's to our Ultimate Pairs Crossfit Event! We are partnering with Movember and associated charities to raise funds for Men's Health Awareness.

Format:
MM and FF Pairs Competition
Rx'd and Scaled Divisions (movement standards to be released prior to event)
Registration: $90 per pair (+ processing fee) closes on 30th October.
Workouts/schedule:
4 x workouts - to be released closer to competition date.
Prizes:
Each Event is sponsored by a great local business; the Rx'd Male and Female pair that wins each event will receive a cash prize. This can be kept or donated to the Movember Charity fund.
Overall Rx'd and Scaled Pairs 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will receive awesome prize packs!
Fundraising:
We are proudly partnering with Movember to raise money for Men's Health Awareness in the month of November!
Movember Throwdown Shirts are available to purchase when your register your pair for this event - a portion of the shirt profits will be donated to Movember Men's Health charities! Shirts will be available for pick up on the day of the event.
Additionally, you can donate directly to our Movember fund - donations will also get you raffle tickets into our Movember raffle at the end of the event

Policies:
REFUNDS - Cancellations of registration will not be refunded - substitutions of pair members or divisions are advised. A full refund will be on offer should this event be cancelled due to COVID-19 (an option to still donate 50% of the registration fee paid will be on offer).
SUBSTITUTES - Pair member/division changes can be made until 6th November on a case-by-case basis, however there will be no refunds for cancellations.
WAIVER - All athletes must complete the Movember Throwdown waiver prior to competing. Please have all team members complete this prior to attending and competing.
COVID-19 - The event organisers will be following the QLD Governments Industry Safe Checklist and Guidelines. Please ensure you check in via our QR code upon arrival, and wear a mask and observe social distancing measures when inside the venue if you are not competing.
FAQ's:
What should I bring?
Additional to all of your regular gear that you would need to compete with (eg: skipping rope, wrist wraps, towel, food etc), you are welcome to bring chairs and gazebo's. These can be set up in the sectioned off area of our car park (see site map).
Will there be food/drinks at the event?
BLVD Coffee Van will be on-site for a portion of the event, and a sausage sizzle will be operating. Any additional food/beverage requirements are your own responsibility.
Where do I park?
See the site map for the best places to park for the event. There will be no parking available in the gym complex, but there is plenty of parking at the local Supermarket across the road. Parking in any other designated areas outside of our recommendations will run the risk of being towed.

Workouts
20 rounds for time:
(partners go round for round; I.e. 10 rounds each)
3 Clean and Jerks (60/40kg)
3 Snatches (60/40kg)
Scaled: 40/25kg
3 x 5 minute windows to complete:
1RM Back Squat
1RM Deadlift
1RM Bench Press
Both athletes must complete the lift within the 5 minute window.
10-20-30-40-50..... (climbing)
RX:
DB Box Step overs + Burpee Box Jump Overs (1 DB 22.5/15)
Scaled:
DB Box Step overs + Burpee 'get over' the box (1 DB 15/10)
Both athletes can share reps however they wish.
For time (8min cap):
50 Thrusters (40/30kg)
3/3 Wall Walks
40 Thrusters
4/4 Wall Walks
30 Thrusters
5/5 Wall Walks
Scaled: 30/20kg + scaled Wall Walk
** Thrusters can be broken up however team mates wish
** All Wall Walks must be completed by one athlete before their partner completes their reps. Eg: Athlete 1 completes all 3 Wall Walks, and then Athlete 2 completes their 3 Wall Walks
