About This Competition
Calling all Midland Athletes!
Wildcard Strength & conditioning is hosting a same sex pairs competition that will go down in history!
Find a buddy who loves fitness and get signed up. we'll be testing your muscles and lungs in a functional fitness format.
Prizes for the winner of each category:
RX Male/Female team winners
Scaled Male/Female team winners
Special prizes for:
Pound for Pound strongest team total
What to bring:
Any equipment you may need in standard functional fitness events (Lifters, skipping rope, gymnastics grips, weight lifting belt...)
Some food & drink to keep you going although there will be places on site that you can purchase food & drink from.
Bring your friends and family, Spectators are welcome!
Parking:
There is a free carpark located on paynes lane just a short walk from our facility. (Paynes Ln, Coventry CV1 5LN)
Alternatively there is a car park located next to the gym that you can pay for using the app, 'Pay by phone'.

Workouts
9 Min AMRAP
40 x double unders/ 80 x single unders
12/10 x C2B/pull ups - Pull ups/jumping pull ups
4 x Thrusters
Barbell weights: 50/35kg - 40/25kg
Add 2 reps to thrusters each round
Split Burpee & Gymnastics however but Thrusters must be 50/50 & YG/IG
RX male = C2B RX Female = Pull ups/ Scaled Athletes Pull ups or jumping pull ups.
For time:
Buy in 50 cal Echo.
40 x T2B/Handing knee raises
30 x GTO
20 x wall walks/ Partial wall walk.
10 x Sandbag over shoulder
Buy out 50 cal Echo.
Barbell weights: 60/40kg 45/35kg
Sandbag weights: 60/40kg 40/30kg
Wall walks: RX to a 10inch line away from the wall. Scaled to a 10 inch line away from their starting line.

800m run as a pair

* It pays to be a winner, first one back gets inside lane and then move out etc based on placing for first 800m.
Partner 1: 50m Burpee broad jump.
Partner 2: 8 x sandbag over shoulder
Then swap over.
300m run back round the track to the sandbags.
8 sandbag squats + 20m carry partner 1
8 sandbag squats + 20m carry partner 2
8 sandbag squats + 20m carry partner 1
8 sandbag squats + 20m carry partner 2
Run 400m back to sandbags
Carry sandbag back to starting line to finish the event.
