Kickin' It Old School
About This Competition
Welcome to Kickin' It Old School!
We are hosting a CrossFit competition and fundraiser at CrossFit Old School in Bowling Green, Ky., on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020. The event, aptly named Kickin’ It Old School, will be a same-sex partner event with Rx and scaled divisions. As always, even the scaled division can be scaled further. The event will begin at 8 a.m. and will wrap up around 3 p.m. CST.
This fundraiser will feature three old-school CrossFit workouts, vendors with food available for purchase, one beer per 21-and-over participant, prizes for the top teams in each division and a whole lot of fun! Registration is just $95 per team and includes a T-shirt for each participant.
Additionally, those who participate in our Kickin’ It Old School event at CrossFit Old School on Feb. 1, will receive $10 off an entry fee for CrossFitting 4 Cures in 2021. We hope to see you next month and again on Feb. 6, 2021!
Please note, free parking is available at Stadium Park Plaza Parking Structure (entrance located at 8th Avenue and College Street).
CrossFit Old School is committed to being a community leader in Bowling Green, Ky. A portion of of all registrations will benefit Bowling Green Parks & Recreation's Adaptive Sports program, a strategic partner with both The Ethan Foundation and CrossFit Old School.
Adaptive Sport of South Central Kentucky is the region's premier athletic program in competitive and recreational adapted sports. The program provides opportunities for those with eligible disabilities to find their own success in the world of sport, while also educating the greater South Central Kentucky area on the various ways those with disabilities pursue recreation, leisure and sport! The program currently offers wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, and goalball.
Bowling Green Parks & Recreation is proud to be one of just two Paralympic Sport Clubs in Kentucky, and one of 25 nationally that is run through a local parks & rec department. Paralympic Sport Clubs are community-based programs developed to involve youth and adults with Paralympic-eligible impairments in sports and physical activity, regardless of skill level.
The Ethan Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization local to Bowling Green. The foundation's mission is to raise awareness and promote a proactive, healthy lifestyle for area youth. The Ethan Foundation recently received a grant from Wellness Edge at the University of Kentucky to create and support an adaptive CrossFit program in conjunction with partners like CrossFit Old School.
