About This Competition

 

Cyprus Throwdown is a two-day event taking place in the beautiful island of Cyprus on 20th and 21st of October 2018. The event is powered by Cosmos and is taking place for a fourth consecutive year. 380 athletes on various divisions will earn their spot in the finals, through the online qualifiers. Join us for an event full of spectacular challenges and remarkable athletes that you will not forget!

REGISTRATION
Registration opens on 01/04/2018 and closes on 06/07/2018. To register please click here.

QUALIFIERS
There will be three qualifier workouts.

  • Workout 1 to be announced on 01/07/2018. Submission deadline is 06/07/2018.
  • Workout 2 to be announced on 08/07/2018. Submission deadline is 13/07/2018.
  • Workout 3 to be announced on 15/07/2018. Submission deadline is 20/07/2018.

FINALS
380 athletes will earn their spot in the finals, through the online qualifiers. Finals will take place in the beautiful island of Cyprus on 20th and 21st of October 2018.

PRIZES
Minimum of total prizes 16.000 euro.

LEADERBOARD
Online score tracking will be provided by Competition Corner.

SUPPORT

TIEBREAK: the time to complete the buy in.

18.2 is split into two parts in a running clock:

18.2a has a 2 minute time cap to:

establish a 3 rep max, Clean and Jerk, touch and go

SCORE: the heaviest successful lift.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 13th of July 2018, 23:59 EEST

 

18.2b starts on the 2 minute and it is an EMOM until failure of:

1 clean and jerk

25 men / 20 women pull ups

SCORE: total number of reps completed until failure.
