About This Competition
Summer Slam is back again! We had such an amazing day last year that we are ready to host one of the region's top team CrossFit competitions. Come to test your fitness and have some fun in the sun!
EVENT DETAILS:
Teams of four athletes (2 males/2 females).
This competition is for intermediate to competitive CrossFit athletes.
$320/team (Sign up by 5/1 for early bird registration; includes all fees)
$360/team (Sign up by 7/31 for standard registration; includes all fees)
3 WODs + 2 Floater WODs + Championship.
Prizes $$$ for the top three teams.
All participants that sign up prior to 07/12/23 will receive a commemorative t-shirt!
WODS will be released in the weeks prior to the event.
STANDARDS:
Everyone on your team needs to be able to:
Move your body: run, row, bike, box jump, climb a rope, push or pull a sled, carry heavy stuff, climb over or under walls
Move some weight: deadlift max (315+/223+), clean & jerk max (205+/133+), snatch max (155+/93+)
Perform standard CrossFit Open movements as rx'd: toes to bar, CTB pull-ups, burpees, lunges, wall balls, overhead squat, squat variations, thrusters, KB swings, HSPU, double unders, etc.
*Some athletes on your team should be able to perform advanced gymnastics movements: pistols, bar/ring muscle ups, deficit HSPU, HS walks etc. Some of these athletes will not be required to perform them. The more you have, the better off your team will be!
Note: No refunds will be provided for this event. However, your registration can be transferred to another team.

Inside, begin with:
30 ring muscle ups
60 calorie bike
(broken up between the four athletes however they want)
Once complete, break into MM/FF pairs and move to outside:
30 Clean and jerks (185/123) each bar
30 box jumps (30/24) each box
2 person 400m male and female relay
(athlete 1 runs a 400m, once back athlete 2 runs the 400m, the other two athletes are done the workout)
