About This Competition

Compete for a Cause is back in 2021 for its 4th year! Our biggest competition yet, a two-day throwdown with both land and water.


Please note that to guarantee your shirt order registration needs to be made before 29 January. Don't forget to research your shirt/singlet option from the lists provided.
The cost to register is $180 per team for a two-day throwdown. Team members must complete a waiver to enter the competition.


Please read the following information before registering, we hope it answers some questions you may have, and if not, don't hesitate to contact us via social media or email comp4acause@gmail.com.

Registration
Please pay close attention when registering. The team captain is considered the first member of the team, the next space to add another member is for team member two.
Shirts
There is an option to type the style/size/colour for each competitor. This is extremely important to ensure the right apparel is ordered. Please research the following options on AS colour. If the colour is not available, we will try to contact your team. If in the case where we don't have a colour option, the shirts will default to a dark colour choice.
Payment
Payment for registration is made via the merchandise option. Please pick the merchandise option and pay for your entry. This has been set up so that individual team members can pay separately.
Refunds & Athlete Changes
There will be strictly no refunds on registrations. If an athlete cannot compete, you may sub in other athletes; however, the team must notify us via email or social media prior to the event. Once the shirt order has been finalised, there will be no option to alter this, and the original order will stand for that team. New team members will need to complete a waiver on the day before competing.
COVID-19
The event organisers will be following the QLD Governments industry COVID Safe Event Checklist and guidelines.
Workouts
All workouts will be released at least one week before the event. Keep an eye on our social media for updates.
Where is the event located?
The event will have three locations, I know, we're sorry but to fit everything in it was a must. We are starting at Khuls Road Recreation Reserve if you competed last year, the same oval. If not we will post a map on socials. The two final WODS will be held at Highfields Pool. The last day of competition will be back at our humble box. 4/15 Darian Street Meringandan 4352.

Sink or swim.

Spectators will be free to watch the competitors, and we will relay any updated information as it is given to us. Please note that those not competing will not be permitted to use the pool for recreational activities. This includes the kid's pool. The pool will be closed to the general public; however, the main pool will only be used by those registered to compete. Spectators will need to sign in and register if they wish to watch and be involved in the action! We thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this time.

Will there be food and drink available to purchase?
There surely will!


Parking
We ask that everyone park outside the field at the oval, allowing room for spectators and competitors. The pool has parking available also. On Sunday, please be aware of the boundaries set out and park anywhere possible on the street. We leave the space outside of the box to set up camp.


What should we bring with us?
You are welcome to bring whatever you will need to compete and enjoy, tents, chairs, water, gazebos and snacks.
