About This Competition

Steel Rail Shootout is Back!

​This years' competition will be honoring the men and women who serve and have served our country. 


Steel Rail Shootout is a CrossFit-style competition made of individual and same gender/co-ed teams. Divisions will be scaled, intermediate, RX, and masters. We will also be hosting a kids' division as well.

TEAMS:
Teams will alternate movements (ex. Partner 1 completes Hang Squat Cleans, Partner 2 completes Jump Rope, Partner 1 completes Box Overs, Partner 2 starts next round of Hang Squat Cleans).

BARBELL STANDARDS:
Athlete must break parallel in squat, then lock out knees at the top of the clean for the rep to count. 

BOX STANDARDS:
RX: Both feet MUST touch the top of the box in order to count. There is no jumping over the box allowed.

ALL DIVISIONS

WOD:

Athletes will have 30 seconds to complete 3 reps for each of the first 4 bars; 5th bar will be max reps in 30 seconds.

Teams:​Partner 1 will lift for 30 seconds while partner 2 rests, then partner 2 will lift for 30 seconds while partner 2 rests. BOTH partners have to do each bar/weight.

Scaled: 125, 145, 165, 175, 185
Intermediate/Masters: 145, 165, 185, 195, 206
RX: 185, 205, 225, 245, 275

Male:
Scaled: 195, 235, 275, 295, 315
Intermediate/Masters: 245, 285, 325, 345, 365
RX: 285, 325, 345, 365, 405

TEAMS: 
Overhead Squats will be synchronized. Rig Movements can be split however between partners.


WEIGHTS:
RX: 95/65
INT/MASTERS: 75/55
SCALED: 65/35


BARBELL STANDARDS:
Arms must remain locked out with weight overhead. Squats must break parallel to be counted. 


RIG STANDARDS:
RX: Chest MUST touch the bar. Butterfly, strict, and kipping ARE allowed.
INT/MASTERS: Chin must go above the bar. Butterfly, strict, and kipping ARE allowed.
SCALED: Rings must hit at the top of the hip. Body must remain in line during ring rows. Feet must be at or over the line.
