Alaska Invitational Online Leaderboard & Qualifier 2025
About This Competition
We’re excited to announce the 2025 Alaska Invitational Details! With the desire to stay aligned with CrossFit's vision, we’ve made some changes to this year’s qualification process.Please note that some of these changes were out of our control, but we’re excited to try out a new way to qualify for the 2025 Alaska Invitational!
This year, we’ll be using both the CrossFit Open and Community Cup workouts to ensure athletes are accurately placed into the right division for our LIVE (Invite only) Alaska Invitational Saturday August 9th 2025.
How Do I Qualify for the Alaska Invitational?
To qualify for the 2025 Alaska Invitational, athletes must submit Open scores and Community Cup scores to both platforms (CrossFit.com & Competition Corner).
The results from the 6 tests will determine placement into one of the following divisions:
Rx
Intermediate
Scaled
NEW for 2025** Athletes have the ability to mix & match what division they complete the Open workouts. (Example 25.1 can be done RX & 25.2 & 25.3 can be completed Scaled).
The Community Cup workouts will serve as an additional measure to place athletes into the appropriate category. CrossFit announced that these workouts will be programmed with modifications to challenge each tier appropriately.
Leaderboard & Score Submission
Competition Corner will be our official leaderboard platform.
Athletes must register for the online qualifier on Competition Corner and enter ALL 6 scores from the Open & Community Cup.
Your scores must be submit Open scores each week by Monday @ 4:00pm AKST & Communitry Cup by June 15th @ 11:00am AKST
How Many Athletes Will Get an Invite?
We will send email invites to the top 12 male and female athletes in the RX, Intermediate, and Scaled divisions.
Masters 55+ is TBD, currently.
Registration & Costs
Online Qualifier Registration: $5 to sign up and log all scores for the Open and Community Cup workouts on Competition Corner - athletes will pay the CrossFit fees associated with these virtual comps. ($20 for the Open & $30 for Community Cup).
-# of invites will be determined based on registration and will be announced in June.
In-person Invitational Registration: If you qualify and choose to participate in the 2025 Alaska Invitational, the registration fee will be $75.
What’s Included? Your registration will include a chance to compete in the big event and receive some awesome swag! We are working on sponserships and amazing goodies now! (Please reach out if you are a business looking to gain state recognition).
Invites will be sent out via email by: Sunday, June 22, 2025
Registration Closes: Sunday, July 13, 2025
When & Where is the 2025 AK Invitational?
2025 AK Invitational Competition Date: August 9, 2025.
Location: TBD (Either CrossFit Iron Refined or Turnagain CrossFit Alaska)
**If athletes are not part of an affiliate and still want to participate in the AK Invitational qualifier, they can!
Option 1: Athletes can complete workouts at a validly licensed CrossFit affiliate gym in good standing and recieve validation from the affiliate manager; or
Option 2: Upload a working YouTube link of your workout to the CrossFit Games website.
We’re incredibly excited about using the CrossFit Open and Community Cup workouts to place athletes into their appropriate divisions. This year’s Invitational is going to be a great opportunity to test your fitness against the best in Alaska!

Complete WOD is your designated tier.
Score: reps completed within 20:00 and tiebreak time from the last completed round.

Complete as many reps as possible following the interval of: 2 minutes of work, 1-minute rest 2 minutes of work, 1-minute rest 2 minutes of work, 1-minute rest 3 minutes of work

In 20 minutes, establish: 1-rep-max front squat 1-rep-max hang power clean *All competition tiers complete the workout as written.

- 3 dumbbell hang clean-to-overheads
- 30-foot walking lunge (2 x 15 feet)
