Royal Navy Operational Fitness League 2025
About This Competition
The RN Operational Fitness League is back for 2025!
From 27th January 2025, we will release one individual workout each week for three weeks.
Entry Criteria
This event is open to full-time serving RN/RM personnel, Full & Part Time RN/RM Reservists, MOD Civil Servants & Veterans with a valid veteran’s badge.
Cost
This competition is FREE of charge!
Individual Categories
Rx, Shoreside - Full gym/ functional equipment access. Can perform all movements at Rx standard.
Scaled, Shoreside - Full gym/ functional equipment access. Regularly trains and familiar with most exercises and can perform workouts with moderate loads but struggle with complex gymnastic movements and heavy loading.
Rx, At Sea - With minimal kit, can use standard Rx loads for Dumbbell movements (22.5/15kg male/female)
Scaled, At Sea - limited access to kit, regular gym user, can use moderate loads.
* Please visit the @royalnavyfitnessleague or @rncrossfit_ Instagram page to view the Movement complexity for each Category and the weight/loading used in competition to help you select the most appropriate category for your current ability.
Workout Validation
Every week you will be emailed supporting documentation that will feature on the @royalnavyfitnessleague or @rncrossfit_ instagram social media page which will also appear in the link in bio button for download. This will detail all movement standards and provide suitable scaling options in addition to any additional score sheets or documentation.
Athletes will not require to submit a video as evidence of their score, HOWEVER, all athletes are to film their workouts and be prepared to send to the event organisers if requested for validation throughout the competition. Particularly those appearing near the top of the leader boards or those submitting questionable times and scoring for workouts.

Part A, 0-10 mins:

15-12-9 Burpee-Over-Rower
Score is time taken to complete workout.
Part B, 10-15 mins:
5 minute window to build to AHAP complex of:
1 Power Clean
2 Thrusters
Score is weight of heaviest successful complex.
- After completing "Part A", atheletes will rest for the remainder of the opening 10 minutes and only move on to "Part B" at 00:10:00.
- You are only submitting your score for "Part A" in this section.
