THE NASHVILLE FIT GAMES

NFGAMES, Franklin, TN

We are excited to bring back the fitness event of the year, THE NASHVILLE FIT GAMES 2023. 

This multi-event competition is for all levels and abilities and will ultimately crown the fittest Man and Woman in Nashville.

NFG will be a pure test of speed, edurance, power and strength (non barbell, non gymastic skill)

Age group and teams will have 4 work outs to crown the fittest of their age group and the fittest gym team!

EVENT 2

“Beast of Burden”

For Time:

20 DBall Over the shoulder

Athlete will start with the Dball on the ground. On the start of 3-2-1 go athlete will move the ball from the ground to over the shoulder demonstrating full hip extension before the dball passes the shoulder. Should the Dball fall off the side of the shoulder (instead of over) a no-rep will be given and the rep must be repeated.

Athlete will have 2 minutes to complete as many strict pull ups as possible. Pull-ups must be over hand grip. Not chin up grip. Once athlete begins they must remain on the bar until work is complete. Dismounting the bar results in completion of work and scored repetitions. Feet touching the side of the rig or floor is considered a dismount. In order to recieve credit for a completed rep athlete must start the rep with locked elbows and end the rep successfully elevating the chin above the bar with out kipping or breaking at the knees, waist/hip. An athlete may continue working after a no rep is recieved if they have not dismounted the bar.

“Hold on Loosely”

For Time:

At the start of 3-2-1 GO, Both partners will begin sharing 150 dball slams(One athlete working at a time).  No minimum of repetitions is required for transitions.  Each Dball slam repetition must begin with dball on the ground and ends when the dball is fully extended over athletes head.  Ankles, knees, hips, shoulders and arms must be fully extended and vertical for repetition to be counted.  The dball must pass athletes body in ONE MOTION.  Pressing of the dball from the chest or shoulders will result in an incomplete rep.

 

Upon completing a total of 150 reps.  Athletes will proceed to completing 600m farmers carry(One athlete working at a time). 1 Kettlebell in each hand.  A full lap must be complete before switching partners.  Time is scored when either athlete has both feet across the enzone line followed by controlled lowering of the kettlebells.  

EVENT 4

“Long Train Runnin’”

Athletes will begin on the starting line. On the start of 3-2-1 go athletes will mount the assualt bike and complete 2000m. Athletes must remain on their bike until the screen reads 2000m. Athletes will then complete two laps of a 400m loop. (800m total) Athletes will re-enter their bike lane through their assigned path and complete a second 2000m. Once the screen reads 2000m athletes will be able to dismount the bike and complete a second 800m run. Time stops when the athlete reenters the competition floor completing their final 800m run, returning to their lane starting line.

“Minute by Minute”

Athletes must start off the bike, at the end of 3-2-1 go, males will complete 15 cal (Female 12 cal) and must remain on the seat until the screen displays the correct amount of calories.

15 shoulder to overhead will be completed with 2 dumbells #50 pair male (#35 for Female) Athlete may choose strict press, push press, or push jerk so long as the dumbells start each rep in contact with the shoulders and end each rep with full extention of upper and lower extremities and the same time. 

The athlete may then go immediately into, a front rack walking lunge. Dumbells may rest on the shoulders in fashion. KNEE MUST CONTACT ground for every completed lunge.  Leg must reach full extention before steppging into each repetition.  Both feet MUST cross the enzone lines and athlete must demonstrate control and full extention before dismounting the dumbbells.

Athlete must demonstrate control of dumbells for entire length of work out. Dropping of dumbbells will result in a 5 burpee penalty that must be completed before finishing the remaining reps.

 

The slowest time of the 4 rounds is scored for this event.

Competitive EVENT 5

“Running on Empty”

3 Rounds

12 Burpee get over

At the start of 3-2-1 GO, athletes will begin 12 burpee get overs.  Burpee must be forward facing object (not lateral).  Thighs and chest must contact the group simultaneously before proceeding to the object get over.  Athlete may get over object in any fashion (jumping, crawling, rolling, stepping are all acceptable) as long as entire body passes over (not to the side) of the object. After completeing 12 get overs athlete may proceed to 10 Dball Shoulder Carry Squats.  DBall must be racked on top either shoulder and squats must be full range of motion for repetitions to be given (hips below parallel of knees and returning to full extention with ankles knees hips and shoulders in a vertically stacked position)  Athlete may switch shoulders as needed.  Athlete may not switch shoulders mid squat.

 

Once 10 Dball Shoulder Squats are completed athlete may then proceed directly into a 40m DB shoulder carry.  DBall must rest on either shoulder for the duration of the 40m (1 lap) carry.  Athlete may not switch shoulders inside enzones.  Athlete may only switch shoulders at turn around points.  Running, walking, jogging with the Dball is allowed.  For a lap to be complete both feet must cross each enzone line, Dball may not dismount shoulder until athlete has both feet across the line.

 

Each round ends with an 80m (2 lap shuttle run)  

Athlete will begin with both feet behind the starting line.  At the 20m turn around point athlete must pass both feet across the line and one hand must contact the line on both ends. No hand contact is needed when crossing the finish of 80m.

“The Reaper”

Athletes must start off the bike, at the end of 3-2-1 go, Males will complete 20 cal (Female 15 cal) and must remain on the seat until the screen displays the correct amount of calories.

20 shoulder to overhead will be completed with 2 dumbells #35 pair male (#25 for Female) Athlete may choose strict press, push press, or push jerk so long as the dumbells start each rep in contact with the shoulders and end each rep with full extention of upper and lower extremities and the same time. 

The athlete may then go immediately into, a front rack walking lunge. Dumbells may rest on the shoulders in fashion. KNEE MUST CONTACT ground for every completed lunge.  Leg must reach full extention before stepping into each repetition.

Athlete must demonstrate control of dumbells for entire length of work out. Both feet MUST cross the enzone lines and athlete must demonstrate control and full extention before dismounting the dumbbells.  Dropping of dumbbells will result in a 5 burpee penalty that must be completed before finishing the remaining reps.

 

Time is scored when 2 rounds have been completed

TEAM EVENT 2

“Two Tickets to Paradise”

At the start of 3-2-1 GO.

 

ATHLETE 1: will mount their bike and proceed to complete 1,000m.  Athlete 1 must remain on bike until screen reads 1,000m.  Once complete; athlete 1 will proceed to complete 20 burpee get overs.

 

Burpee must be forward facing object (not lateral).  Thighs and chest must contact the group simultaneously before proceeding to the object get over.  Athlete may get over object in any fashion (jumping, crawling, rolling, stepping are all acceptable) as long as entire body passes over (not to the side) of the object.  

 

After 20 burpee get over repetitions are complete, Athlete 1 will proceed to an 800m (400m out and back x2) run.  Once Athlete 1 has crossed the final enzone line returning to lane start, Athlete 1 will tag Athlete 2:

 

ATHLETE 2:  will mount their bike and proceed to complete 1,000m.  Athlete 2 must remain on bike until screen reads 1,000m.  Once compllete; Athlete 2 will proceed to complete 20 burpee get overs.

 

Burpee must be forward facing object (not lateral).  Thighs and chest must contact the group simultaneously before proceeding to the object get over.  Athlete may get over object in any fashion (jumping, crawling, rolling, stepping are all acceptable) as long as entire body passes over (not to the side) of the object.  

 

After 20 burpee get over repetitions are complete, Athlete 2 will proceed to an 800m (400m out and back x2) run.  Once Athlete 2 has crossed the final enzone line returning to lane start TEAM time for this event is complete.

 

TEAM EVENT 1

"Hurts so good"

One athlete working at a time:  At the start of 3-2-1 go, Athlete 1 may begin working towards 80 DB Shoulder to Overhead.  Athlete 1 may switch to Athlete 2 needed in any repetition scheme.

Shoulder to overhead will be completed with 2 dumbells #25 pair male (#20 for Female) Athletes may choose strict press, push press, or push jerk so long as the dumbells start each rep in contact with the shoulders and end each rep with full extention of upper and lower extremities and the same time. 

 

Upon accumulating a total of 80 rshoulder to overhead.. either athlete may then go immediately into, a front rack walking lunge. Dumbells may rest on the shoulders in fashion. KNEE MUST CONTACT ground for every completed lunge.  Leg must reach full extention before steppging into each repetition.  Both feet MUST cross the enzone lines and athlete must demonstrate control and full extention before dismounting the dumbbells.

Lunging athlete MUST COMPLETE 20M Before switching with partner.

Athlete must demonstrate control of dumbells for entire length of work out. Dropping of dumbbells will result in a 5 burpee penalty that must be completed before finishing the remaining reps.

 

Upon completion of lunge requirement.. athletes 1 and 2 will complete as many calories as possible in the time remaining on the 7:00 clock.  One bike per team -one athlete working at a time.
