About This Competition

 

Welcome to the Bangkok Throwdown Qualifier!

We're glad to be back after a 3 year break. 

There will be 3 workouts for this qualifier, released one at a time with one week between each. The first workout is released August 13, workout 2 the following week, and workout 3 the week following. 

The submission deadline is midnight September 12.

You have until the deadline to submit all 3 workouts. 

To be eligible for qualification, you must attach a video. 

At the conclusion of the qualifiers, there will be a video review period to validate scores. 

Please review the video submission guidelines. 

After scores are validated, Invitations will be sent to the emails registered through competitioncorner. Failure to respond to those emails will result in forfeit of your spot. 

There will be no guaranteed substitutions.

Bangkok Throwdown reserves the right to 10 sponsors invites, and those who just miss out will be considered, although not guaranteed, for filling vacated spots.

1 athlete lifting at a time throughout 


Event 2: max volume thruster (weight x reps) 

Clock 000 to 800

The sequence of weights lifted must be followed (F1,M1,F2,M2)
Each athlete performs max thrusters at one specific weight, when tagging out their work is done
The time is split however your team chooses
Your score is the total volume (reps x weight lifted)

The order must go as follows:


F1: 30kg

M1: 45kg

F2: 40kg

M2: 55kg

8:00 to 10:00: rest

 

Event 2a: Max Weight Squat Clean (M1,F1) + Max Weight Deadlift (M2,F2)


10:00 to 16:00: M1,F1 establish 1 rep max Squat Clean

Each athlete will have their own bar
Only one athlete may be lifting at a time
Teammates may assist in loading and unloading weights
Clips are not required

16:00 to 18:00 show weights of Squat Clean


18:00 to 24:00: M2, F2 establish 1 rep max Deadlift

Each athlete will have their own bar
Only one athlete may be lifting at a time
Teammates may assist in loading and unloading weights
Clips are not required

Show Weights of Deadlift at conclusion

30 Any 2 Synced Handstand Push Up


10 4 Synched Overhead Squat

40 Any MM/FF Synced Chest to Bar/Pull Up


Amrap, in the remaining time,

10 Any MM/FF Synced Squat Snatch

5 Any 2P Synced Bar Muscle Up


Men : One 50kg barbell. One 45kg barbell. 

Women : One 35kg barbell. One 30kg barbell. 


Tiebreak: The time complets Chest to Bar/Pull up, Handstand Push Up, or Toes to Bar.


Equipment Needs:

Men: 2x 20kg barbell (45 lb) + plates for a total of 50 and 45kg. A gymnastic bar. 

Women: 2x 15kg barbell (35 lb) + plates for a total of 35 and 30kg.  A gymnastics bar.
