About This Competition

This Hybrid Competition is a same sex pairs event held at Hybrid Theory Training for a single day. The competition theme is heavily focused on synchro work with your partner and will be a sure way to test an array of fitness capacities. There will be 4 scored events that all divisions will complete, in addition to a 5th (final) workout for the competive division. 

Workout will kick off at 7:00am and day will finish around 3:30pm

Scoring

Score will be combined total of TTB or Ab mat sit ups(beginners).

Tiebreaker - team who completes the first round of Erg Bike + Box jumps overs the fastest.

Score is for time. If your team does not complete the workout within the time cap the metres accumulated on the bike erg will be your score + time cap.

Workout Flow

From 0:00-10:00 both partners will complete a 3RM OH Squat (beginners completing 3 Front Squats) for a combined total.

 

From 10:00-18:00 choose which athletes completes 30 Ground to overhead or 30 Snatches. Athlete 1 starts first completing 30 G2OH, as soon as they are done athlete 2 can begin completing 30 snatches. 

 

Scoring

Both parts are scored equally. 0:00-10:00 is for Total Weight. 10:00-18:00 is For Time. If you do not complete all the reps for 10:00-18:00 your score will be the time cap (8min) + reps left to complete.

Workout Flow

From 0:00-7:00 both partners will chip away at all 50 squats YGIG before moving onto the ground to shoulder. Partners can rest if they complete all the reps otherwise when the clock hits 07:00 they have to move straight into the next piece below

From 07:00-17:00 both partners will jump up on the rig and complete their first set of C2B/PU sycnhro. Once they have completed their reps they then move onto the cals. Continue with this fashion. Workout is complete when the last rep scheme is complete + the cals to finish.

 

Scoring

Both parts are scored equally. 0:00-07:00 is For Time. 07:00-17:00 is also For Time. If you do not complete all the reps for either/both of the workouts your score will be total reps completed.(1cal = 1 reps on erg)
