2022 Alaskan Affiliate Cup
About This Competition
We are excited to welcome back The Alaskan Affiliate Cup and bring you all the best team competition in Alaska. This competition is dedicated to ALL the Affiliate's in the state. So get your Athlete's and come to the Interior to compete in this 2 day long event.
This year will look a little different...
Each Affiliate can bring as many teams as they want. There will be 2 Divisions. RX and Masters, Teens & Scaled (Combo team). All teams must consist of 3 men and 3 women- no more, no less. Your Affiliate is your team, but can bring as many sub-teams as you would like. Sub-teams are other teams from the same Affiliate consisting of 3 women and 3 men (RX or Combo). However, everyone is working towards one goal- take home the Cup for your Affiliate. Athletes will only be able to compete in 1 Division. Each sub-team needs to have a Team Captain. Team Captain's may be the same person for all your sub-teams or can be different for each. Affiliate's choice.
Team and Division Descriptions:
This year we will have 2 Divisions for your Affiliate to win the CUP. Each team will need 3 men, 3 women (no more, no less)
- RX Division: Completing all workouts as prescribed for all events. 18-54yrs of age - 3 women and 3 men.
- Combo Divison: Masters (55+), Teens (14-18) & any age Scaled (an individual who does not complete RX weights or complex gymnastics movements yet) - 3 women, 3 men.
**if you have competed in the Affiliate Cup before, once your team used a scaled athlete in an event, the whole workout was scaled. This is no longer the case. Masters and teens will not be considered "scaled". However, scaled athletes will be grouped into this division, because weights and movements stay the same throughout. With the team cap (no more, no less), this will give everyone a chance to work under the same circumstances and will help us find the Fittest Affiliate in Alaska.
Affiliates (gyms) can bring more than 1 team (i.e. 2 RX teams and 1 Combo team or vice versa).
Judge (Volunteer):
Each sub-team will need to have at least 1 registered judge. Judges are free and registered judges will receive lunch Saturday and Sunday and an event T-Shirt that must be worn both days of the event.
(NOTE: WHEN REGISTERING TO BE A JUDGE (VOLUNTEER), PLEASE PUT THE GYM YOU ARE AFFILIATED WITH IN THE EXPERIENCE SECTION).
Day 1 (Saturday July 30th):
All day Saturday will be held up at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. We will begin at the Patty Center Pool and move into the field adjacent the pool. Expect hill and trails....
Address: 1890 Tanana Loop E.
Day 2 (Sunday July 31st):
All day Sunday will be held at CrossFit Fairbanks.
Address: 399 Old Richardson Hwy.
Scoring:
Let's say a gym brings 3 RX and 3 Combo teams (wishful thinking huh). If one of the RX teams comes in 1st place and another of the RX teams comes in 3rd place, that gym will take the highest ranking place for the Cup (for there Affiliate). 2nd and 3rd places will go to other Affiliates (gym). Same goes for the Combo Division.
Awards:
There will be a 1st, 2nd, 3rd place Cup (trophy) for each Division. Sub-teams will be placed seperately and will receive cash prizes to be evenly dispersed among teammates.
Pricing:
Our payment platform has changed. After creating your team's, the Team Captain must register the whole team and pay the total price in full. Team Captains will then have to accrue payment however they choose. Team Captains need to provide Athletes name and e-mail address in the registration.
Price Breakdown per Athlete:
base + platform fee = total price per Athlete
$155.00 + $5.68 = $160.68
Refund Policy:
Refunds will be issued up until July 16th only.
Workout Release Dates:
Saturday and Sunday workouts will be released Thursday July 28th.
***EVENT REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE JULY 15TH AT MIDNIGHT!!!
EVENT T-SHIRT REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE JULY 5TH AT MIDNIGHT!!!***
Email us your questions!! We will email out a Q&A form in a few weeks. It will include questions that have been asked in years past and whatever else comes our way for everyone to have specifics more specifics (if this isn't specific enough).
