Mayhem for Middle Tennessee at Barbell Battalion *MOVED TO ALSO ONLINE*
About This Competition
MAYHEM FOR MIDDLE TENNESSEE at CF Barbell Battalion
*Also online due to being moved from original location of Oakland High*
This competition is to benefit the local communities affected by the recent tornados that ripped through Tennessee. Middle Tennessee was devastated by the recent tornados that took a total of 24 lives and injured dozens more. This is a single workout, team event.
This workout has been moved to online competition only due to health concerns in the local community. We apologize for the inconvenience and are grateful for you understanding. All funds from this specific competition will still be donated to Putnam County, Mt. Juliet Academy, and Donaldson Academy.

Workout Standards:
Heats will be set up in the following fashion: 8 minutes heat transition/warmup - 7 min AMRAP
Teams will be given 8 minutes to warm up to their selected weight before their heat begins. Teams are allowed only one bar. The weight selected at the end of the warmup cannot be changed once the workout begins. Both partners must use the same bar and weight. Mixed teams do the have the option of using a 35lb bar for both partners. At the start of the heat, athletes will complete 7 minutes of power snatches. They are allowed to split reps in any fashion. Each rep completed by either partner counts as a rep for their team. At the conclusion of the workout, athletes will self-report their scores on the Throwdowns website. The teams score is calculated by multiplying the weight lifted by the number of reps completed. For example, a team who lifts a 100lb bar for 50 reps would have a leaderboard score of 5,000lbs. Leaderboard scores are for placing only (no prizes for top placing due to charity event).
Want to make a bigger impact??
As an OPTIONAL add-on, we are encouraging teams to find a sponsor to give based on your teams performance. Your sponsor would commit to donating the total weight lifted ÷ 100.
For example: If a team completes a total of 100 reps with a 135# barbell, that teams score and total weight would be 13,500. So the teams sponsor would give $135 (13,500 ÷ 100 = $135). We think this is a fun way for you to invite someone outside the competition to participate in raising money to help rebuild middle TN.
If you choose to participate in this portion of the fundraising, a donor/sponsor can register under the 'donor only' division and make the contribution themselves, making sure to credit the team who they sponsored. Additional giving is not just limited to those participating in this pledge.
All funds collected during this event will go toward donations, to include the processing fees.
