About This Competition

Buddy Hybrid Challenge is a pairs fitness event held at Norsemen, Neerabup on Saturday 11th July.

This event is built to be simple, fun and accessible. The workouts will use movements most people already know from regular training — no high-skill gymnastics, no complex Olympic lifting, and no need to be a competition specialist.

Whether you train at a box, consider yourself a hybrid rockstar, never stop chasing fitness, or come from an alphabet-number gym — Norsemen's Buddy Challenge is your chance to put your training style to the test. Expect straightforward fitness tests using simple movements, teamwork, effort and good pacing.

The aim is to create a comp that feels challenging, but still achievable for everyday gym members. Teams will be female/female and male/female pairs, so grab a training partner and get involved. Tickets are $120 per team.

Open movement standards =

9/6kg wall balls

45(M)/30(F)kg shoulder to overhead

Deadlift 60(M)/40(F)kg

Jogging/Running

Box jumps 24(M)/20(F) Inches

*These standards are just a guide and do not indicate the final workouts. Final workouts will be released a month before the event

- Partners must complete a full round before they switch, and they must alternate after each round

 

- Partner 1 may work on the Calories while Partner 2 completes their round of Part 2. Continue to work on the Calories as you alternate between partners on Part 2.
