About This Competition

Hybrid MAX EFFORT....

is an all new concept for Hybrid athletes where you are pushed to achieve the greatest rep + calorie count possible at each workout.


Exclusive to APEX ABILITY GYM, Hybrid MAX EFFORT is structured to increase intensity and output by working through each workout as an interval. Each interval is 8 minutes of work followed by 2 minutes rest. This format will force athletes to push harder on the runs and harder on the workouts.

HOW IT WORKS.

Interval 1

Teams have an 8 minute window to complete the 1km run and then hit the SkiErg for a MAX calorie effort in the remaining time.


At 8 minutes teams have 2 minutes rest to return to the run start.


Interval 2

Teams have an 8 minute window to complete the 1km run and then hit the gym rings for a MAX rep effort in the remaining time.


This format will continue for all 9 workouts.


Rather than a Hybrid race 'FOR TIME' Hybrid MAX EFFORT is focused on MAXING out during the workouts in an attempt to accumulate the greatest rep and calorie count.


WORKOUT FLOW.

Teams 1, 2 and 3 will start workout 1 on interval 1. When teams 1, 2 and 3 return to the run start for interval 2 teams 4, 5 and 6 will start interval 1. This will continue with 3 new teams joining the run start until 27 teams are all progressing together.


PRIZE.

For the top Elite teams in MM, FF and MIXED there will be a prize of £150 for each team.

For the top Everyday teams in MM, FF and MIXED there will be prizes from our supporting brands.


THE 2026 SEASON.

The 2026 season will have 3 events and form 1 giant leaderboard. The ELITE teams at the top of the season leaderboard for all divisions MM, FF and MIXED will all win £250.
