Workouts

This event will have two scores. Here’s how it will go down on game day!

Teams will have 20 minutes to complete this pyramid chipper while accumulating as many calories as possible on their rower.

All teammates will begin behind the start line. On the call of “3-2-1-Go!” one teammate will rest while two teammates will begin working, one on the rower accumulating calories and one on the barbell for the power snatches, and so on.

Teammates can switch in and out however they would like so long as all exercises in the pyramid chipper are performed in order, to completion, and with only two teammates working at a time. Substitutions must be made at the start line. Tags must be made in and out for this entire workout.

There is no minimum work requirement for any teammate during this event, meaning, teammates are not required to do one rep of any exercise.

Note: The rower monitor will begin at zero and will run for the entire duration of this event. If a team accidentally resets their monitor, their score will still be the total number of calories in 20 minutes for Event 3B. At the start of this event, the teammate who will begin the row may be seated on the rower with the monitor set to zero.

Scoring:
The team's score for event 3A will be their total time to completion, when all teammates are back behind the start line. The third teammate can remain on the rower and continue accumulating calories for event 3B. If a team is unable to complete event 3A in under the 20 minute time cap, their score will be their total number of reps for Event 3A. If a team completes event 3A before the 20 minute time cap, they can work for calories on the rower however they would like. There is no tiebreaker for this event.

On the call of 3-2-1-Go! Teams will have 15 minutes to complete the couplet with each teammate performing one full round before tagging in the next teammate, like this:

Teammate 1 begins behind the start line and advances to the Assault Bike after the call of “Go!” where they will perform 21 cals followed by 21 Toes-to-Bar.

Then teammate 1 will run back and tag teammate 2 who will be waiting behind the start line. Teammate 2 will advance forward, resetting the monitor to zero, and perform 21 calories on the Assault Bike followed by 21 Toes-to-Bar.

Then they will repeat this process for teammate 3.

When all teammates have completed the round of 21, they will repeat this same process for the round of 15, and finally, for the round of 9, until all teammates are through.

*Note: Teammates can adjust their bikes while another teammate is working, but they must return back behind the start line to wait for their teammate to tag them in. Resetting the monitor prior to being tagged in IS permitted.

Scoring:
The teams score will be their total time to completion when teammate 3 makes their way back behind the start line. If a team is unable to complete the workout in under the 15 minute time cap, their score will be their total number of reps. There is no tiebreaker for this event.

TBA

“Riding Waves”

For Load:

2 Rep Max - Clean/Front Squat/Thruster in :90s

Each team must pick one athlete to perform one of 3 lifts for this event.

The 3 lifts to be performed are as follows:

Lift 1: Clean (Power or Squat)

Lift 2: Front Squat

Lift 3: Thruster

For Example:

Teammate A chooses Lift 1 and will perform 2 Cleans during the ladder. Note: These can be power or squat cleans, but they must be touch-n-go off the floor.

Teammate B chooses Lift 2 and will perform 2 Front Squats during the ladder. Note: The weight must be lifted from the floor and a squat clean is permitted on the first rep.

Teammate C chooses Lift 3 and will perform 2 Thrusters during the ladder. Note: The weight must be lifted from the floor and a squat clean or a squat clean thruster are permitted on the first rep.

8 bars will be laid out on the floor preloaded for all. On the call of 3-2-1 Rotate! - Teams will have :10s to rotate to the (next) barbell.

On 3-2-1 Lift! - Teams will have :80s to perform 2 reps of their chosen lift. Teammate A will perform 2 Cleans, then teammate B will perform 2 Front Squats, then Teammate C will perform 2 Thrusters, in that order.

If all teammates are successful in lifting the weight for 2 reps within the timeframe, they will receive credit for that loading and advance to the next barbell on the call of 3-2-1 Rotate!

The Ladder Loads will be as follows:

Scaled Women: 55-65-75-85-95-105-115-125

Scaled Men: 95-105-115-125-135-145-155-165

RX Women: 85-95-105-115-125-135-145-155

RX Men: 135-155-175-185-195-205-215-225

If a teammate is unable to lift their loading for 2 reps, they will receive credit for any rep they are able to perform at that station and have an opportunity to perform as many deadlifts as possible for the tie breaker.

Scoring: The teams score is their total pounds lifted combined at a given station. If they are unable to complete 2 reps of a lift within the timeframe, they will perform as many Deadlifts as possible in the time remaining for the tiebreaker. For example, team A successfully lifts all 6 reps at 135 would have a score of 810. Team B completes 5 reps at 135 + 10 deadlifts for the tiebreaker would have a score of 675/10. Team C completes 5 reps at 135 + 9 deadlifts for the tiebreaker and would have a score of 675/9. Team A is in 1st, Team C in 2nd, Team B in third.
