About This Competition
Welcome to Dewey Beach Championship: "A Fitness Competition for Good".
Unlike most other CrossFit events, this event raises money for charity. In fact, the largest prize pack isn't for the fittest team but for the team who raises the most money for the cause! This year, Dewey Beach Championship is raising funds for pediatric cancer research at Nemours Children’s Health, one of the top children’s hospitals in the country and one that is near and dear to many Dewey-goers in the Mid-Atlantic.
Why Nemours? We can all agree that childhood cancer is one of the greatest evils in this world and we want to do what we can to support them in their efforts to treat kids in their care and work to find a cure! Nemours is at the forefront of pediatric oncology and hematology research and care. Their physician researchers, clinicians and scientists bring insights and discoveries to patients. Nemours shares their findings so they can help kids everywhere, even those they'll never meet.

Dewey Beach Championship 2024 will take place Saturday, June 14th outside at the Rusty Rudder bar and restaurant, in the heart of Dewey Beach, Delaware, where we assemble a 12-lane competition CrossFit rig as well as utilize their bay access for a signature water/beach workout.
Our goal is to raise $50,000+ for Nemours Children's Health pediatric cancer research. There will be 96 2-person teams competing and hundreds of others attending and volunteering. Over the past four years, DBC has donated a total of $180,749 to the charities that we’ve supported! This is all thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, volunteers, participants and donors and we can’t thank them enough.
