We are thrilled you are competing in RITJ 2023.

Join us for RFX Rumble in the Jungle Pairs 2023, presented by RFX Competition Series! We are excited to have you participate in this premium same-sex pairs competition, featuring three workouts throughout the day. Our competition categories include RX, Masters Advanced, Masters Beginner, Intermediate, and Beginner, with the latter category now open to teens and pre-teens. BASIC ITINERARY

This is a 1 day event for each category with:

  • Intermediate and Masters: Saturday 21st October

  • Beginner and RX: Sunday 22nd October

*please note this may change depending on registration numbers

Standards

These are recommendations but are not the absolute hard rules. Sometimes if you are just missing one skill it’s good to take on the challenge in a new category to push you. Who know you may get your first pull-up, muscle-up or whatever it is you have been working towards! Click the category on the bottom right to see suggested standards *these are just a guide to help make a decision on category.

Whilst the below skills are there to give you an idea of your level there is no guarantee any of those movements will be tested.

Beginner - Open to all levels of beginner athletes. Beginners should be fun and will be!!

Intermediate - Double unders, Male C2B - Female/ Pull-ups, Toes to bar, Snatch 70/45kg, Clean and Jerk 90/60kg, HSPU

RX - Muscle-ups, Snatch 90/55kg, Clean and Jerk 100/70kg, HSPU strict/kipping

Masters Beginner 35+: Somewhere around beginner level. Training up to 3-5 time per week. If you want more of a challenge Masters Advanced would be better for you.

Masters Advanced 35+ : Bar muscle-ups, C2B, T2B, rope climbs, Clean and Jerk 80/55kgs, Snatch 65/40kg

Notes: This event is round for round and begins with athletes behind the start line. At the call of 3.2.1 GO one athlete will start on the T2B, once they have completed total reps, they will move onto the Ski, Once they have completed the required reps they will move to the barbell and complete 9 Power Cleans, once this has been completed they will then run back and tag their partner in. They will then move to the ski and complete the required work.

T2B: In the toes-to-bar, the athlete must go from a full hang to having the toes touch the pull-up bar. Both feet must be in contact with the bar at the same time, inside the hands. The arms and hips must be fully extended at the bottom and the feet must be brought back behind the bar and behind the body.

Power Clean: The barbell starts on the ground, Hang cleans are not allowed. The rep is credited when the athlete’s hips and knees reach full extension, the feet are in line, and the bar is supported in the front-rack position, with the elbows clearly in front of the hands. If the bar is lowered from the rack position before the hips and knees reach full extension, the rep will not count.

Knee Tuck: In the knee tuck, the athlete must go from a full hang to having the knees break passed the hip crease. Both knees must break pass the hip crease at the same time. The arms and hips must be fully extended at the bottom and the feet must be brought back behind the bar and behind the body. (Must preform a beat swing cant be a static hang)

8:00 To Establish

Clean + Front Squat + Jerk + Front Squat + Jerk


Notes: This event begins with a empty barbell and athletes standing behind their barbells. At the call of 3.2.1 GO Athletes will need to load their barbells and can then begin their Complex, they have 8:00 and can complete as many attempts as they like within the 8:00.

Clean: The barbell starts on the ground. Collars must be placed outside the plates. Power cleans, squat cleans, and split cleans are permitted. Hang cleans are not allowed.

Front Squat: The athlete’s hip crease must clearly pass below the top of the knees in the bottom position. The rep is credited when:

  • The athlete’s hips and knees are fully extended.

  • The bar is resting on the athlete’s shoulders with the bar in the front-rack position.

Jerk: a press, push press, split jerk, or push jerk may be used to lock the barbell out overhead. The barbell must pass through the front-rack position before going overhead; snatching is not permitted.

The rep is counted when the barbell is fully locked out overhead directly over the middle of the athlete’s body, with the arms, hips, and knees extended, and the feet in line under the body. No part of the body other than the feet may touch the ground during the execution of the lift.

Master Adv - For Time

  • 40 Synchro C2B

  • 10 Rope Pulls

When the signal of "3, 2, 1, GO" is given, both athletes will commence their race by initiating 40 synchronized KB Swings. After successfully completing all 40 repetitions, both athletes will advance to the next stage. Upon finishing that phase, both athletes will proceed to perform 20 synchronized BMUs. Once they have completed all the required repetitions, both athletes will move forward to tackle a total of 10 Devils Press. Finally, they will conclude the workout by conquering 5 legless rope climbs
