About This Competition

The UPROAR! Guam Individual online qualifiers are made up of four workouts which will be held in December 2017. Over the course of two weeks, athletes will take on workouts and submit their scores by the deadline via our online scoring system. All qualifying athletes will advance to 2018 UPROAR! Guam.The finals will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort

Cost

$25.00 

*includes FREE UPROAR! Guam Finals admission ticket with a $5 discount towards UPROAR! Guam Merchandise only. Should you complete the qualifiers but not qualify for the event, you may come and watch for FREE.

 

In order to qualify and compete in the UPROAR! Guam, you must complete the four qualifier workouts.

 

 

Qualifier Dates

·       Qualifiers #1-4: December 15th – Jan. 7th

·       Registration opens Sunday, November 26, 2017at 8am

·       Registration closes on January 7, 2018 at 11:59pm

·       All workouts will be released at 8am on December 15, 2017

 

Divisions

·       Male Elite – 8 Invite Only

·       Female Elite – 8 Invite Only

·       Male OPEN - top 16 invited to the finals

·       Female OPEN - top 16 invited to the finals

·       Male MASTERS* - top 16 invited to the finals

·       Female MASTERS* - top 16 invited to the finals

*All masters athletes must be 35 on or before the day of the finals – February 2, 2018

 

 

Divisions and Qualifier Placement

Elite Division / OPEN

Male athletes ranked 1-8 will qualify as Elite. Female athletes ranked 1-8 will likewise qualify as Elite. Male athletes ranked 9-24th will qualify as OPEN Division and female athletes ranked 9-24th will qualify as OPEN Division. Every athlete ranked 25th and below in their respective gender category will not earn a spot to compete in the UPROAR! Guam Finals.*

 

* Wildcard invites dependent on unavailability of qualifying athletes.

  

Masters Division

The Masters Division will be broken up into one age category: 35 and above. To qualify for your age group, you must turn the minimum age on or before February 2, 2018. The top 16 Men/16 Women in 35+ division move on to the finals.

 

Prizes

 

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top performer of each division. All cash prizes will be paid in U.S. dollars.

• Top Overall Finisher - Elite Athletes (male and female):  

First place: $200.00

• Top Overall Finisher - OPEN Athletes (male and female):  

First place: $150.00

• Top Overall Finisher - MASTERS Athletes (male and female):  

First place: $100.00

 

Additional prizes from our sponsors, vendors, and partners will be awarded to the top three performers of each division valued at a total of $3000.00.

 

Facility with the largest number of participants will receive up to $1000 worth of merchandise from our sponsors, vendors, and partners.

 

Validation

 

If you are a member of an affiliate, your score may be validated by your coach or box owner. For unaffiliated competitors please provide video submission to uproarguam@gmail.com upon request.

 

 

Are you Elite, Open or Masters (35+)?

 

Elite Invite Only (both male and female):

Must be able to perform all the following movements and minimum weights. 

Weightlifting: C+J (225/150), Snatch (185/135), Deadlift (275/205)

Gymnastics: HSPU, Handstand Walk, Pistols, C2B Pull Ups, Bar/Ring Muscle ups, Rope Climb.

Monostructural: Assault Bike, Double Under, Ski Erg, Row, Run.

 

OPEN Division (both male and female):

Must be able to perform all the following movements and minimum weights.

Weightlifting: C+J (135/95), Snatch (95/75), Deadlift (185/115)

Gymnastics: Push ups, Pull Ups, Sit Ups, Air Squats, Box Jump/Step Up. (Both male and female)

Monostructural: Assault Bike, Single Under, Ski Erg, Row, Run. (Both male and female)

 

Masters Division 35+ (both male and female):

Must be able to perform all the following movements and minimum weights. 

Weightlifting: C+J (135/95), Snatch (95/75), Deadlift (185/115)

Gymnastics: Push ups, Pull Ups, Sit Ups, Air Squats, Box Jump/Step Up.

Monostructural: Assault Bike, Single Under, Ski Erg, Row, Run.

 

Rules & Requirements:

·       Athletes must register online and pay the $25 registration fee. 

·       Athletes must complete the four online qualifier workouts.

·       Athletes must submit a validated score or video submission for the four online qualifiers.

·       The UPROAR! Guam team reserves the right to disqualify an athlete based on their own review process should they find any violation of sportsmanship. 

·       There is no limit to the number of athletes who can participate in the qualifiers.

·       The registration fee is non-refundable.

·       Registration remains open until the deadline for qualifying WODs need to be submitted December 31, 2017.

·       Once you have selected a category and submitted your score you may not change categories.

·       UPROAR! reserves the right to invite elite athletes to compete in the event.

 

 

VIDEO SUBMISSION STANDARDS

Prior to starting, film the implemets to be used so the loads can be seen clearly. All video submissions should be uncut and unedited in order to accurately display the performance. A clock or timer, with the running workout time clearly visible, should be in the frame throughout the entire workout. Shoot the video from an angle so all exercises can be clearly seen meeting the movement standards. Videos shot with a fisheye lens or similar lens may be rejected due to the visual distortion these lenses cause.
