About This Competition

Welcome to Reaction Arena: TEam Series

We are thrilled to introduce this playful style of fitness competition.

This doesn't mean we won't try hard, but that we'll try hard and have fun doing it.

Life can throw us enough lemons, we just want to enjoy some of that lemonade.
So kick back, relax, (give your best effort) and enjoy the show.

So how does it work?

  • Teams are made up of 2, 3, or 4 individual humans, of any legal age.

  • Each event is completed in pairs, so any team that holds more than 2 people has the chance to "sub" an athlete in and out.

  • Teams will choose who does what-- mix and match any pair with any event.

  • Teams looking for more action should opt for 2 or 3 person team. Teams looking to share the load should opt for 3 or 4 person teams.

What else?

This event will feature some other fun elements, including a bonus opportunity for scoring. Teams can earn a bonus by hitting a pre-determined benchmark in that particular workout. For example, if the event is 30 Synchro Clean and Jerks and all 30 reps are completed under "X" time (let's say 2:00, because, "Grace") then your team earns a bonus.

There will be bonus opportunities for all 6 events. Just a little incentive to work even harder for the fans.

What else else?

SO MUCH ELSE. We'll be releasing a variety of sporty-spice-style flairs to the events. (Think Savannah Bananas, our inspo). Make sure to follow us on Instagram @reaction_arena as we release the tricks up our sleeves. (Jokes on you, our sleeves fell off during Benchuary)

If you have any questions, try Googling first, and if still in need of help you can holler at amy@reactionfc.com

Clean your jerk

Athletes will establish a 1RM Jerk from the rack + a Clean to re-rack the bar. Athletes must be able to Clean the bar and re-rack in order for the jerk to count. Scoring will be gender neutral using a 70% difference between male and female athletes, or 1.43x. For example, a 100lb lift for male is the equivalent of 70lb lift for female, regardless of bodyweight.
