About This Competition
Year Five!
The One Ton Challenge, Six lifts, Max total.
We are going back to only Power Index division. Total lifts divided by bodyweight = your Power Index. Leaderboards ranked by athlete Power Index, Highest Power Index = Best Lifter.
Every registration will go onto a Main leaderboard, from there we will create sub-divisions or sub leaderboards.
Sub-divisions: teens, masters 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+, whatever makes sense for age groups. Podium athletes will be recognized and given a medal 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Prizes will go to:
Best Lifter Male/Female
Heaviest Total Male/Female
Location TBA Soon.
We are packing up our platforms, barbells and thousands of pounds of weights and taking them local. We have found that it is really special to get outside the gym and lift with friends, and for the epic photo opportunities. Bring your sunglasses.
Each heat is 90 minutes, 15 minutes per lift. 2-3 lifters per platform. You will be sorted by your height and lifting 1RMs. Try to be as accurate as you can, It is NO fun if you are not accurate, your platform mates will not like you.
This year we are doing this event for Charity, it makes it more meaningful for all of us if we know it’s going to a good cause. We will announce the charity in the coming weeks.
Cost $60, This experience is a fun event to enjoy with friends. You will leave this day with awesome memories, maybe some PRs, and if you choose, some epic photos.
Event T-Shirts are available in the Merchandise Tab, and on your registration. Get what you actually want to wear, We've come up with a few options. Will have mockups soon. Whatever you order will be at the venue for pick up the day of.
We will have Tan or Charcoal, poly-blended tees, and a boxy cotton option, tanks, and hoodies coming. Proceeds of event swag will also go to charity as well.
Photo Packages will also be available, get your day captured by a professional photographer. Get a special photo package of just your platform, your lifts, your PRs and your celebrations.
Important info to address:
*** Try to be AS ACCURATE as possible on your registration, this important info will help us place you on a platform, AND place you in an accurate sub-leaderboard.
***We intend on setting up on LEVEL ground. 2023 was a surprise with the slight slope, however you were all good sports and figured out how to overcome that challenge.
***Weigh ins are optional, if you want to do this for fun, don't weigh in, however we can't accurately place you on the leaderboard or podiums.
