About This Competition
Congratulations on making it to the main event!
First and foremost, make sure your name and team name are spelled correctly in your athlete profile. Whatever name that is entered will be used. Corrections cannot be made once printed!
To set you up for success when you arrive onsite to register for the weekend, here’s what you need to know:
Is This Really Necessary? Yep, onsite Athlete registration is mandatory for all Athletes competing over the weekend.
Save the Date Athlete registration runs from 10 AM - 7 PM CDT on Thursday, September 6th.
If you are unable to make it during this time, please email support@thegranitegames.com to set up alternative check-in arrangements.
Be sure to plan your travel accordingly to allow sufficient time to arrive for registration and the subsequent Athlete briefing (keep reading, more on that one below).
Where Am I Going? Check-in occurs on the campus of St Cloud State University. The specific location will be emailed out as we get closer to the event.

Come Prepared You’ll need to provide proof of age and residency, so be sure to have a valid ID on-hand to complete your registration.
Your best options (keep in mind you must satisfy both age and residency requirements):
- Driver’s license
- Passport
- Birth certificate
- Another officially verified form of proof
Mission Accomplished, What’s Next?
After registering, you must attend the mandatory Athlete briefing from 6:30 - 7PM CDT Thursday evening. The exact location of the briefing will be emailed out as we get closer to the event.
Once you’re registered, we recommend checking in to your hotel and getting that squared away.
The Best Western Plus Kelly Inn is hosting our designated Athlete accommodations and is located less than a mile off of campus.
A code will be sent to you post registration to use to access the block of rooms when booking.

No Take-Backs Life happens - we totally get that. But please be aware that if you cannot participate in the weekend’s events, we cannot offer a refund for any reason.
Trading Places You’ve earned your spot at the 2018 Kill Cliff Granite Games and it cannot be given to another Athlete. (See what we did there? Earned, Not Given.)
The exception is in the case of teams, who can substitute other Athletes up until the point of check-in. The substitution must have participated in the Online Qualifier and they will not receive a customized athlete t-shirt.
