About This Competition



The Firewall Frenzy is back! Grab a Partner for this 2-Person Same Sex Partner Comp on Saturday September 28th here at CrossFit Firewall. We will be having Advanced, Intermediate and Masters (40+) Divisions with Cash Prizes going out to the Top Place finishers in each division! 

There will be 3 Guarenteed Workouts + a Floater WOD. 

The Top 4 Teams in each Division will meet in the finals for an epic showdown.


Standards for Divisions:


ADVANCED: If you are a seasoned athlete and can RX all or most of the CrossFit Benchmark, Hero and Girl WODs, this is the division for you. Advanced Athletes may or may not be asked to perform the following movements throughout the course of the competition (Barbell weights are the minimum suggested requirement):

Snatch 135/95
Clean 185/125

Shoulder to Overhead 135/95

Deadlift 255/185 Thruster 95/65 Handstand Push Ups Chest to bar Pull Ups Pistol squats Toes to Bar

Box Jumps (24,20)
Double Unders Rope Climbs

Wall Balls (20/14)


INTERMEDIATE: This division is for athletes that feel comfortable performing most movements with light to moderate loads. Gymnastic movements for this division are base level and do not require any high-level skills. Intermediate Athletes may or may not be asked to perform the following movements throughout the course of the competition (Barbell weights are the minimum suggested requirement):

Snatch 75/55
Clean 95/65

Shoulder to Overhead 75/55
Deadlift 135/95 Thruster 45/35

Push-ups off 20” box
Jumping Pull Ups / Ring Rows Knees to Chest / Ab-mat sit-ups

Box Jumps (20/12)
Single Unders

Wall Balls (14/10)

 

MASTERS (40+): This division is for 40+ Individuals who have not competed in the CrossFit Games Online Qualifier. This division will require athletes to be competent in most advanced movements but with decreased loads. This is a Master’s Division for Intermediate athletes looking to get competition experience in the Masters realm. Master Athletes may or may not be asked to perform the following movements throughout the course of the competition (Barbell weights are the minimum suggested requirement)::

Clean 135/95

Shoulder to Overhead 95/65
Deadlift 205/145 Thruster 75/55

Push-ups
Pull Ups Toes-to-bar

For Time:

Max 500m Row 

With a 12-minute Clock:

▪️Athletes must complete 150 Wall-balls before establishing a 3RM Overhead Squat from the floor 🏋️‍♂️🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♂️

WOD DETAILS:

Advanced and Masters (40+): 3RM Overhead Squat

Intermediate: 3RM Front Squat

Advanced and Masters (40+): Wall-ball (20lbs,14lbs)

Intermediate: Wall-ball (10lbs,6lbs)

🎯 ALL Men will throw to 10ft target and ALL women will throw to a 9ft target.

1 Partner must complete 25 Wall-balls before switching.

1 score for the event, the total weight lifted from 3RM lift between both partners. The Wall-balls are just a buy in.

All 3 Reps must be lifted and completed before the 12 minutes is up.

First weight may be pre-loaded on to the barbell before the start of the workout.

SECOND EVENT:

AMRAP 12:

▪️100/80 Calorie Bike
▪️100 Deadlifts
▪️100 Box Jump Overs
▪️MAX Bar Facing Burpees

WOD DETAILS:

🔹 Advanced: 100/80 Calorie Bike, Deadlifts (225,155), Box Height (24,20).

🔹 Masters (40+): 100/80 Calorie Bike, Deadlifts (185,125), Box Height (24,20).

🔹Intermediate: 70/50 Calorie Bike, Deadlifts (135,95), Box Height (20,12)

1 athlete works at a time and reps may be split as desired.

All reps must be completed in order to move on to the next movement.

The score of the event is Total Reps completed within the 12 minutes.

▪️Example: If 50 Bar Facing burpees were completed at the end of the workout by a male/male Advanced team, a score of 350 will be given (100 calories + 100 Deadlifts + 100 Box Jump Overs + 50 Bar Facing Burpees = 350).


THIRD EVENT:

👭 "I Go, You Go" 👬

8 Rounds for Time: (10-minute cap!)

▪️9 Thrusters
▪️9 Chest-to-Bar Pull-ups
▪️9 Toes-to-Bar

WOD DETAILS:

Advanced: Thrusters (135,95), Chest-to-Bar Pull-ups, Toes-to-Bar.

Masters (40+): Thrusters (115,80), Pull-ups, Toes-to-Bar.

Intermediate: Thrusters (75,55), Ring Rows, Ab-mat sit-ups.
▪️ The Intermediate division will have 12 REPETITIONS of each movement instead of 9.
▪️ Ring Rows will be completed with the athletes heels exactly 12" behind the rings and will be displayed on the floor with a marked line.

1 Partner must complete a full round before switching.

The score will be total time to complete or total repetitions completed if time capped.
