About This Competition
YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL!
This is a masters, scaled and Rx CrossFit team competition. It features 2-person teams (male/male and female/female) in one of the most exciting series of workouts in the Louisville area.
Athletes will compete in 4 challenging WODs throughout the day at Fern Creek CrossFit. The top 3 teams in the RX division will receive a cash prize. Master and scaled divisions top 3 teams will enjoy a large prize package. Health and fitness vendors will be on site during the competition as well. Spectators are welcomed!
This year we are partnering with Supporting Heroes. A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to Supporting Heros. https://www.supportingheroes.org/
Disclaimer: FCCF deserves the right to cancel the event due to lack of registered athletes or bad weather (Refunds will be granted in this case). We also may cap the event to a certain number of participants in order to stay within compliance of the facilities fire code.

Workouts
Event 2: Blackout
For Time: 12 minute time cap
Athletes will complete the required work listed below for time.
- Round 1 - 50 DU, 5 S2O (185/115) - Scaled 100 SU, 5 S2O (155/85) - Masters 50 DU, 5 S20 (155/85)
- Round 2 - 100 DU, 3 S2O (185/115) - Scaled 200 SU, 3 S2O (155/85) - Masters 100 DU, 3 S20 (155/85)
- Round 3 - 150 DU, 1 S2O (185/115) - Scaled 300 SU, 1 S2O (155/85) - Masters 150 DU, 1 S20 (155/85)
Scoring is the total time to complete the required movements.
- Partners will work in a you go/I go pattern. Each partner must complete the movements in each round before moving to the next round. Partner 1 starts each round and completes the jump rope and S2O, before partner 2 does the same. Once partner 2 finishes the team will proceed to the next round.
- Shoulder to Overhead (S2O) can be a press, push press, or split/push jerk.
- Repetition 1 for the S2O starts from the ground.
- Tie break is the time of completion of 1st round.
Floater: Glycerin
For Repetitions: 5 minute AMRAP
Athletes will rotate between maximum calories on the Ski ERG and static kettle bell farmers hold. Athletes will transition whenever they choose.
- Partner 1 - Maximum calorie ski ERG.
- Partner 2 - Static Kettle Bells Farmer Hold - RX (70/53), Scaled/Masters (53/35)
Scoring is the total maximum calories achieved in 5 minutes.
- Athlete not on the ski ERG must hold KB at side in a farmer hold.
- No grips are allowed on the hold. Chalk may be used.
- Calories will continue to count throughout the workout.
- Ghost meters are counted during the event, but no rollover meters at the end of 5 minutes will be counted.
Event 1: Insomnia
For Time: 25 minute time cap
Athletes will perform the following movements for time;
- 5K row
- 3 - Wall walk penalty by athlete on the rower when transitioning.
Scoring is the time required to complete the 5k row.
- Partners may transition at any time, with penalty.
- Wall walk lines will be marked for each division. Rx and Masters will be full walk walks. Scaled will perform a partial wall walk.
- Partner may not begin rowing until signaled by the judge after the successful completion of wall walks by the other partner.
- Meters will count down on the rower and official time will be determined by the rower clock.
Event 3: Project Mayhem
For Repetitions: 10 minute AMRAP
Athletes will work for 10 minutes to complete as many rounds and repetitions as possible.
- 10 - Wall Ball Shots (20/14)(10’/9’) - Scaled (14/10)(10’/9’) - Masters (20/14)(10’/9’)
- 10 - Dumbbell Squat Snatches (70/50) - Scaled (50/35) - Masters (50/35)
Scoring is total rounds and repetitions completed by both partners in 10 minutes.
- Partners will work in a you go/I go pattern. Each partner must complete the required repetitions and both movements before the next partner begins.
- Full squat snatch required for the dumbbell squat snatch.
- Athletes will alternate between each side for the dumbbell squat snatch repetitions and can begin on whichever side they prefer.
- Both heads of dumbbell must touch the floor between repetitions.
- Tie break is the time of completion of the 1st round.
