Police & Fire Hero Games
About This Competition
Hero Fund USA, in partnership with CrossFit Cerberus, will be hosting the First annual "Hero Games" on October 5, 2019. The mission of Hero Fund USA is to provide immediate financial assistance to the families of Police Officers and Firefighters killed in the line of duty. It is also the mission of Hero Fund USA to provide much needed resources to our public defenders.
Divisions will consist of Public Safety (Sworn Police, Dispatchers, Fire or EMT) and then General Public. Any Public Safety personnel that wish to partner with Non-Public Safety will need to register under the General Public Division.
The Public Safety Divisions will open for enrollment July 27, 2019
If there is room remaining for more teams.
The General Public Division will open for enrollment September 1, 2019.
REGISTRATION CLOSES SPETEMBER 29th
The event will be limited to 40 teams of 3-5 for so early registration is recommended! Teams will consist of all male or all female team mates.
Teams will need to claim a Fire Station/Police Department that they will be representing.
Prizes will be awarded to podium finishers!

10 am - Competition Start @ CrossFit Cerberus
5:00 pm - Awards to be held at East Forty Brewing @ 1201 West Main Street, Blue Springs, MO 64015

2019 WODS
#1 - "Hot Pursuit"
5 rounds for time
15 minute time cap
Each partner must complete at least 1 round
A round consists of
1/3 mile sprint
40 ft farmers carry
15 burpees
40 ft farmers carry
*weights for the farmers carry

#2 - "Conan's Wheel"
7 minutes for load
Teams will have 7 minutes accumulate as much weight as possible
Teams may increase or decrease the weight as needed.
Each person must complete a minimum of 1 full rotation w/ a Zercher carry position
Teams only get credit for the weight that is carried for a full rotation without setting it down outside of the marked area.
score = total weight carried for a full circle
*Only 45# plates and 25# plates will be used for increases/decreases in weight
#3 - "Farmers Deadlift"
5 minute AMRAP
using the wheel barrow teams will complete as many reps as possible.
score = total completed reps
Each person must complete a minimum of 1 rep
Teams may alternate and rotate team members as needed.

#4 - "Pulling and heaving"
15 min AMRAP
As many rounds + reps as possible
Each team member must complete at a minimum of 1 complete round
A round will consist of
100 meter row
5 Dball over shoulder
*Must show full extension of hips and knees as the Dball passes over the shoulder for the rep to count

The hercules hold requires the athlete to hold up two pillars of weight for as long as possible – a true test of determination. It is often the athlete that can best overcome the mental torment of being pulled apart by two massive weights that prevails, rather than the man with the superior grip or strength.
