About This Competition
Battle Of The Box is now releasing an individuals competition! We are the ONLY compeition that offers events for the novice AND elite!
January 16th, 2021 at Thanksgiving Point, the battle for fittest individual in Utah will begin!
We will have 3 divisions:
-RX
-Intermediate
-General Fitness
*You can find the division standards under the registration of each division*
We will have 4 WODS with a finalist for the top 4 individuals in each division. Workouts will be released week of November 23rd.
No Refunds UNLESS Utah experiences another lockdown on the date of event. In this case, your registration fee will go to the next competition held in July. (excluding the processing fee taken by Competition Corner.)
If you are unable to compete, you can transfer your spot to a friend.

Workouts
Top 4 athletes in each division compete for a 1 Rep Max Clean & Jerk
6 Minute Time Cap
Athletes have as many attempts as they need to complete heaviest Clean & Jerk possible.
3 Mini WODs will be placed in a box at the end of the lane. After 3.2.1.GO Athletes will run to the end of the lane and randomly grab their first WOD – complete – repeat – until they finish, or time runs out. 15 minute time cap.
All athletes in their division will have the same 3 WODs; however, WODs will differ division to division to keep things spicy. We are realeasing each possibility so athletes can prepare AND so that we can layout standards for movements in a timely manner
Possible WODS:
#1: 75 Wall Balls
#2: 50 Shoulder to overhead
#3: 50 Ground to overhead
#4: 2 Rounds of:
20 Alt. DB Cleans
10 Box Jump Overs
#5: 3 Rounds of:
10 Alt. DB Snatches
10 Burpees
#6: 2 Rounds of:
20 Front Rack Lunges (barbell)
40 DU (120 sinlges)
Division Standards:
WB wt: 20/14 – 20/14 – 14/10
Barbell wt: 95/65 – 75/55 – 65/35
DB wt: 50/35 – 35/25 – 25/15
Box jump height – 24/20 for ALL. RX/ Int Jump - Scaled may step.
Jump rope – DU – Declare - 120 singles

WOD 3: “Flying Flat”
9-minute time CAP
Tie break: Record time the OH squats are completed
3 Rounds (for time)
15 reps of a barbell movement
10 Bar FACING Burpees
5 Bar Muscle ups
Rd 1: Thrusters
Rd 2: OH Squats
Rd 3: Power Cleans
Athletes will advance their bar after every round and then cross a finish line. The weight will remain the same for all three lifts.
Barbell wt: 135/95 – 95/65 – 65/35
Gymnastic: 5 bar MU – Declare 5 bar mu or 15 pullups – 15 jumping pullups
Burpees – RX must jump over – other divisions may step over


WOD 1 – “Hands at 10 & 2”
5 Rounds (for time)
10 Deadlifts (increasing weight)
2 Rope climbs (15 feet)
(Intermediate may choose rope or toes to bar. Must declare.)

Row 500 Meters for time.
3 minute time cap.
Directly after the time cap on WOD 3, athletes will begin WOD 4.
