BBIII - The Bellefont Brawl 2024

Details

When: Saturday, September 7th from 7am-5pm

Where: More Than Fitness, 700a River Rd, Wilmington, DE 19809 

Format: Same gendered partners (male & male or female & female)

Price: $200 per team

Description: Come throw down in the third annual Bellefonte Brawl to benefit More Than Fitness, an organization founded in 2018 to address mental health issues in young people through mindfulness and fitness. 

We encourage ALL of our athletes to participate in fundraising! All funds raised go towards More Than Fitness to equip our community with the tools to build strong bodies, resilient minds, and unbreakable spirits. The top fundraiser this year will receive an amazing prize (more details to come, but think vaca vibes).

Partners will compete in 4 scored events over the course of the day on our campus at More Than Fitness. This year's competition will offer the following divisions:

  • RX
  • Scaled
  • Adaptive
    • Seated
    • Upper Impairment
    • Lower Impairment
    • Neurological
    • Visual
    • Short Stature

Standards and Workouts: 

Details on specific standards and workouts will be released leading up to the competition! Stay tuned to this page and instagram @bellefontebrawl for more information.

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no refunds for this event. If the weather creates unfavorable conditions, the event may be moved to Sunday, September 8th at the organizers discretion. Please plan accordingly.

PARTNERS HAVE 10 MINUTES TO EACH COMPLETE A MAX LIFT OF THE COMPLEX

 

Notes:

  • On go, athletes will build to a heavy complex
  • Partners can work in any order
  • Partners can help load the bar
  • Any lift initiated before the 10 minute cap can be completed

Standards:

  • Every lift weight must be announced and confirmed by the judge before initiating the lift
  • Each lift must be completed in isolation (ie- the clean cannot count for the front squat)
  • The judge will call each lift as completed/incompleted. if a lift is failed, the complex is incomplete and will not count.

Notes:

  • One partner works at a time. The first working partner may start on the rower.
  • Calories and reps can be broken up in any way
  • Partners can not move on to the next movement until the judge gives a call (this is for the rower)

Standards:

  • Typical gymnastic standards
  • All M/F bars are set to a standard height
  • If all reps are completed, the partners will restart at 40cals until 12 minutes is reached.

Notes:

  • One athlete works at a time
  • :30 second period is for rest, switching parnters, calculating score, and adjusting the bag.

Standards:

  • The sandbag standard is bag over/on top of shoulder & hip extension. 
  • 1 length is counted as a rep. An incomplete length of 25ft carry at the end of a round is a no rep
  • the bag should always start on the last end of the length that the last rep was counted. Athletes are responsible for getting the bag back.

Notes:

  • One partner works at a time
  • The reps and swim can be broken up between partners however, there is no minimum work requirement
  • Partners may enter the pool however they feel comfortable

Standards:

  • Common movment standards for DB movements
  • Both partners do not have to swim. Standing while swimming is permitted, however, you may not advance while standing (no walking/floor pushing across the pool)
