About This Competition
Try to be lighter and lift more weight than the next person. Just kidding. Grab a partner and be ready to take a lift about every 2 minutes for 3 attempts in the snatch. Warm up the clean and jerk for 5 minutes and then take 3 attempts for the C&J every two minutes.
You will be weighed in right before you lift. No, we don't have a highly calibrated scale, require passport ID, or require singlets - although the singlet is kind of cool these days.
You and your partner's totals get put into this database/spreadsheet that takes everything into consideration - weight, age, the coefficient of gravity, the coefficient of restitution, and how much fiber you ate that morning - to level the playing field.
There are three divisions to compete in: Youth/Senior/Master and variations in between.
