6th Annual Beauty and the Beast Throwdown 2022
About This Competition
This competition is a CO-ED, 2 person comp. for the Novice and Intermediate divisions.
MASTERS DIVISION will have the same two divisions! The combine age of the two athletes must be 80 years old or older on the day of the competition. ID will be asked for at the competition during check-in. (example; If the Male athlete is 46 years old then the Female athlete must be at least 34 years old.
STANDARDS:
INTERMEDIATE (BOTH REGULAR AND MASTERS DIVISIONS) Should be able to do pull-ups; Double unders; HSPU; dips; overhead squats; rope climbs. MAX METCON WEIGHTS: Snatch 135/95; C&J; 185/125; Deadlifts 315/245. The intermediate division WILL NOT HAVE: Muscle-ups; chest-to-bar pull-ups; strict HSPU; pistols.
NOVICE DIVISION: WILL NOT HAVE: pull-ups; handstand push-ups; overhead squats; dips; double unders. If there are any workouts a team can not complete as written, we will scale that workout down to their skill level however, that team will not be able to score any higher than those who completed the workout as written so everyone can come out and play yet still be fair! MAX METCON WEIGHTS: Snatch 95/65; C&J 135/95; Deadlifts 225/145.
Top 5 in each division will compete in a finals workout!
Tie break will go by a teams highest finish in all workouts including the finals; then continue to go to the next highest place...
There will be no refunds!
Teams will be allowed to change divisions until the Monday prior to the event (the same day registration closes).

Workouts

Partners will work on the bike while their partner is working through the TTB and burpees.

AMRAP OF CLUSTERS AT 115/80 (NOVICE=95/65) PARTNER 1 DOES 1 - P2 DOES 2 - P1 DOES 3 - P2 DOES 4....
Relay style (10:00 cap) Woman complete first then tag in the men to finish.
Run 250 meters - drag sled 100 M - Run 350 M - drag sled 100 M
Woman will add the 45# plate to the sled while their men are completing the first 250m run.
INTERMEDIATE WEIGHTS= 180/135 LOADED TO SLED
NOVICE WEIGHTS - 160/115 LOADED.

Teams have 7 minutes to establish their heaviest complex of:
3 hanging snatches (score is combine weight of both athletes)
At go the bar may be loaded. Clips must be on.
Athletes work one person at a time.
Must be from the hang and can be squat/split/power.
Last attempt must be in COMPLETE control by the 7:00 mark!
COMPLETE ALL FOR TIME, IN ANY ORDER AND ANY REP SCHEME THE TEAM WANTS.
20 Tandem Devil press 50/35 (nov 35/25)
40 Pull ups (novice ring rows)
60 WBS 20/14 (novice 14/10) to 10/9 foot target

One person on the floor working at a time except the tandem devil presses. Tandem is that partners must be together in the overhead position with both DB's locked out overhead at the same time. They can go at different speeds down and on the ground but MUST be together overhead.
Partners take turns completing rounds of 14 TTB and 7 box facing burpee box jump overs in an 8:00 window. The other partner is on the bike for a separate score.
