About This Competition

In 2024 all community divisions of the Torian Pro will compete for the ‘Torian Pro Oceania Championship`in Brisbane, Australia on 24-26 May 2024.

Athletes aiming to qualify for the Oceania Championships must register for the ‘Torian Pro Online Qualifier` on Competition Corner by 5pm (AEST) on the 5th of March 2024.

The Torian Pro Online Qualifier runs alongside the CrossFit Open, utilising the same workouts to determine who will qualify to compete in person at the Torian Pro. 

2024 Torian Pro Oceania Championship

This year will see a focus on the 'Team of 4' divisions, with both Pro Teams and Masters Teams being featured. Additionally, 2024 marks the return of Individual Teens and Adaptive athletes.

Athletes in the Pro & Masters Teams and Teen & Adaptive Individual divisions will compete for the Torian Pro Oceania Championship.

Teams of 4 may be comprised of any 4 athletes (MM/FF) from around the world, as long as they have registered to compete in the 2024 CrossFit Games Open. 

Registration opens Wednesday 31st of January at 5pm. See below for the qualifying spots up for grabs in each division. 

Torian Pro Oceania Championship Divisions: 

Pro Team: Top 30 

Masters Team (40+): Top 10

Teen Individual
14-15 years: Top 10
16-17 years: Top 10

Adaptives: Top 3 (each division)

Torian Pro Oceania Championship Programming Levels 

Pro Team - Quaterfinal/Semifinal level programming
Masters Team - Open/Quarterfinal level programming
Teen Individuals - Open/Quaterfinal level programming
Adaptive Individuals - Open/Quarterfinal level programming

Adaptive Athletes

Invitations to the Adaptive division of the Torian Pro will be sent out on Sunday March 31 based on performance in the Adaptive CrossFit Open by WheelWoD.

Torian Pro Online Qualifier

The Torian Pro Online Qualifier runs alongside the CrossFit Open, utilising the same workouts to determine who will qualify to compete in person at the Torian Pro. 

Each week teams will enter the combined score for all 4 athletes into Competition Corner where they will be ranked within their respective divisions. Individual Masters and Teen competitors will simply enter their own score.

At the completion of the Torian Pro Online Qualifier, scores entered into the Competition Corner leaderboard will be crosschecked with the CrossFit Games Open leaderboard in order to verify all score submissions.

Torian Pro Online Qualifier dates: 

  • Week 1: 1 March - 5 March
  • Week 2: 8 March - 12 March
  • Week 3: 15 March - 19 March
Score submission deadline each week is Tuesday at 5pm AEST (5 March, 12 March & 19 March)

Should a Team / Individual miss the score submission deadline they will be unable to enter a score for that week.

Qualifying Rules:

Pro and Masters teams divisions must complete the CrossFit Open workouts as RX. At the end of the 3 weeks, the top 30 teams will qualify for the Pro division, and the top 10 teams will qualify for the Masters division.

All Teen Individuals must complete all CrossFit Open workouts as RX. A Teen athlete’s competitive division will be based on their date of birth. The athlete’s age as of July 14, 2024, will determine which division the athlete will compete in during the 2024 season.

The official CrossFit Open leaderboard will be used by the Torian Pro judging team to crosscheck and verify all scores entered in the Torian Pro Online Qualifier.

Should any athlete choose not to register for the Open they will be required to film all qualifying workouts, with at least one workout being called on by the Torian Pro judging team for video review. 

In the event of a tiebreak for a qualifying place at the Torian Pro Oceania Championship, the Athlete/Team with the highest workout placing across all three weeks of the online qualifier will qualify.

Team Roster Changes

Should a team succesfully qualify through the Torian Pro Online Qualifier they will advance to compete live and in person at the Torian Pro.

In the event of injury or some other circumstance beyond your control in the lead up to the Torian Pro, a team may substitute up to a total of two athletes on their team roster. Substitutions may occur up until 5pm Friday 17 May 2024.

In the event more than two athletes from the original Team of 4 that qualified through the Online Qualifier are unable to compete, the team will be ineligible to compete in person at the Torian Pro.

Spectator Tickets

All athletes competing at the Torian Pro receive a 3 day Bronze pass to the event with access to the main stadium, Pat Rafter Arena. 

Please note: Seating in the Bronze section of the stadium is non-assigned in the upper bowl of the stadium. Assigned seating is only in the Gold and Silver sections.
