Welcome to the 2023 Beach Showdown Buddy Qualifiers.
The Beach Showdown (formerly 'The Indoor & Outdoor Throwdown @ the Beach) has its origins back in 2017. The Beach Showdown is a competition for athletes of all levels. Athletes must qualify for the live event at the beach. Are you and you buddy ready for the Beach?
Anno 2023, same people, same concept, same cool atmosphere, new divisions, new name, new fresh look and powered by CF Events.
The Beach Showdown is an official CrossFit® Licensed Event.
Qualifiers: June 16th till July 16th '23
Finals: September 16th & 17th '23
Location: The Spot, Zandvoort

Workout 1: "The Gauntlet"
FOR TIME – TIMECAP: 25 MIN
100 wall balls
80 american kettlebell swings
60 push variations
40 gymnastics variations
20 sync. deadlifts
*Notes: One athlete works while the other rests, except for the deadlifts, which are performed as synchronized reps. Divide anyhow.

Workout 2 "Gymnastic Grinder"
AMRAP 12 MIN
12 pull-up variations
20 gymnastics variations
16 hang clean & jerk
* Notes: only one athlete works at a time, the other athlete rests. Each athlete must complete all the reps of the given movement before continuing to the next movement. For example, Athlete A completes 12 bar muscle-ups, then Athlete B completes 12 bar muscle-ups, then Athlete A completes 20 Alternating Pistols, and so on. You stay in the order that you started the workout.

Workout 3: “Row Grab Step Repeat”
FOR TIME
20 calorie row (Athlete A)
30 sync dumbbell front squats
10 sync dumbbell box step overs
20 calorie row (Athlete B)
30 sync alternating dumbbell snatches
20 sync dumbbell box step overs
20 calorie row (Athlete A or B)
30 sync dumbbell thrusters
30 sync dumbbell box step overs
*Notes: In this workout you use a single dumbbell (one for each athlete). You perform this workout together (sync), only the rowing must be divided. Sync reps are counted as 1 rep (30 sync reps = 30 reps).
